preferences are:
1. beach close or on
2. must have jacuzzi for eve wine slurping and happy groping (wit da wifey of course!) that excludes Mar de Cortez unless they added one sine 1986?
3. under $100 a nite (is this even possible?)
4. refer in room, kitchenette a plus if available, will pay extra for that.
5. bar or restuarant on premises not necessary so condo type facility is ok.
6. away from the glitz zone and hawkers
am anxious to hear from anyone on this matter. may have to be there soon for short stay.BajaNomad - 9-17-2004 at 02:06 PM
Mike,
I don't think you'll find much, if anything that close to the water. Your best bet for such may certainly be someone's condo somewhere.... but I
don't have much in the way of info for that. Hopefully someone else here will.
One thing you didn't note is by "Cabo" do you mean somewhere in "Los Cabos" (including San Jose del Cabo), or only "Cabo San Lucas" .. ?

Captn Mike,
Why dont you stay at Marina Sol?? its not a Hotel but they are close to the beach, close to shooping, have a kitchen and jacuzzi, and its very
private, and probably under 100$ a day.
it needs to be cabo san lucas as i'll be flying in directly there.
Jesse i have stayed at marina Sol in 1986, it was great, i'll check their current rates. back then our 2 BR w/ kitch for 2 couples ran about $60 a
nite a couple, or $125 a nite for the unit. I think i see them now about $225 a night which is about same as Los Conchas my fav place in La Paz.bajaloco - 9-17-2004 at 06:03 PM
I might be able to get you a lower rate also....Gary

we loved staying at the Bungalows Breakfast Inn http://www.cabobungalows.com/
Summer rates are under $100 and include a great breakfast. You're in a neighborhood, above Mi Casa restaurant, with cars, roosters, and dogs but I
didn't mind it. Estela is the manager and she'll take care of you. The hot tubs gone but they keep the pool real warm!
where to stay in cabo
DAWK - 9-18-2004 at 12:52 AM
try the cabo classifieds paper, which i found on line, but don't have the URL.
i saw apartments for monthly -300 -gringo bucks, somthing a month! why spend a few days in the expensive rooms, when you can stay for a longer time in a
rental?
hawaii is less,but no cabo atmosphere...just 'maui-wowie'...Baja&Back - 9-21-2004 at 07:52 PM
Mike: \How about Club Cabo http://www.mexonline.com/clubcabo.htm.
It's EXTREMELY out-of the-way on a dirt road, but 5 minutes walk from Las Cascadas. Nice Hot tub. No view.
Martin, the owner is a pilot.
Have a nice vacation!
I know Grover.....

Brisas del Mar is San Jose, I was teasing Capitano with the campground comment (you know him and his AC, :rolleyes
Bookerman - 9-21-2004 at 08:17 PM
Sometimes you can get a condo at Misiones del Cabo for a good price if you book early. To me, that place is like a home I would like to replace my
home with.
more thx.
capt. mike - 9-22-2004 at 07:23 AM
Baja and back - i'll check it out
Debra, Ha hahahaha!
you know i love to camp, some of my very fav spots include......hilton, marriott, the pointe resorts, four seasons.....the list goes on. as a wise
baja camper once told me as he moved from sea of cortez to pacific side one june....."give me AC or give me a cold beach....that is the question" well
it went something like that! synch - 9-22-2004 at 08:24 AM
Bookerman what do you mean by "a good price"? .... under $100 per night?

Cabo InnBajaboy - 10-6-2004 at 08:14 PM
I don't suggest Cabo Inn if you're driving. I had my truck broken into and lost all my camping gear while staying. I asked the owners if it was safe
to park there (I could have parked at a friend's house). He insisted. Anyways, he never said much after the break-in. I thought he would have at
least reduced my bill. Mar de Cortez is the only place I stay while in Cabo.
(I'll be there in a few weeks!)

cabo places to stay
cabokid - 10-20-2004 at 08:11 PM
Got a place in San Jose on the beach at Costa Azul that I rent out under 100 bucks , may fit you needs. info at www.surfcabo.net or try Hacienda in Down town San Jose ,old world at about 60 bucks. There are a few others if you check around on the net.synch - 11-30-2004 at 04:58 PM
Closer to the airport is Cabo Surf.Right on a surfing beach, nice pool(infinity) overhanging the beach, hot tub, palapa style restaurant hanging over the
beach also.Rooms were really nice with reefers,indoor-outdoor jacuzzi tub, large and veiws of the SOC and pool. The place is kinda smallish by
comparison to many other in the downtown Cabo area.Great Margis but boy were they pricey!capt. mike - 4-26-2006 at 06:18 AM
sally - good info - how much? and close to the cabo airport or the los cabos jetport?
is there a web site?Packoderm - 4-26-2006 at 08:06 AM
I see that the rates are $225 to $365 per night depending on season and room. I like their online system to check room availabiltity and rates. Just
hit reservations then click in your info on the drop down menus. I don't like the actual prices however. The cheapest 7 day stay in winter is $2310.
Too rich for my blood.elgatoloco - 4-26-2006 at 09:12 AM
We stopped at the Cabo Surf Hotel a few years back and checked it out. It was VERY nice. I had my boards and there was surf but the place was booked
solid. We had lunch and then I paddled out and caught a few. This place is on my list of places to stay along with The Palmilla. Sallysouth - 4-26-2006 at 07:01 PM
If you decide on Cabo Surf, Mike, try to get either room #2 or 1, they have great airchairs on their verandas over looking the pool and SOC.It is high
season so expect to pay more, but this place is worth it, IMO.Right on a beautiful beach, great tile pool, off the tourist zone, close to the
airport.Where the heck is the "jet-port" you mentioned, BTW?
Need a rider? I have two daughters living in Cabo now, the two you have met, and would love to see them as much as possible.(just a
thought,sigh...)Actually, I just got back from there, ready to go back asap!!!,Sally
