HMO has gone fly-over crazy in the last few years. Detours all the time. But this is the first one that I can remember that affects the "bypass" or
truck route. Usually, it's pretty easy to follow THROUGH town.
The problem with HMO (besides the crooked cops) is the large knolls in the middle of the city that force streets to travel N/S in some areas and E/W
in others. It's confusing.
Nothing like a nice, gridded city for ease of travel.
Basaseachi Falls area is incredible. Many think it better than Copper Canyon. I've havent been to CC yet.
BTW, that road from HMO to Basaseachi defines the term windy road. Even worse than Cal Hwy 1. |
