Here are some unremarkable photos of my trip to Basaseachic Falls, the highest yearlong waterfall in Mexico at 807'. Another fall in Copper Canyon is
higher but only flows in the wet season. We arrived October 7 for two nights.
In town near the park. Vast pine forests provide for really cool log buildings.
We rented this cabin for two nights. Nice bathroom with hot shower, a good kitchen, and the wood stove kept us warm. Temp went from about 70ºF days to
36ºF at night.
Out front the groundkeepers were keeping busy.
This is from a viewpoint miles away and is the "postcard" shot.
Two bridges takes you from the parking lot to the top of the Falls.
An hour or so hike gets you down to the valley .
Some great hiking in the valley below.
Nice pool at the bottom. I thought there would be more water flow for this time of the year.

Beautiful part of Mexico and very nice photos. We have not been to the falls, yet.
Enjoy! What is really interesting is the change in climate as you descend into the canyon. In Creel we scraped the ice off the windshield, and it

But, these were not south of San Felipe... actually west of San Felipe in the center of the peninsula.
