I kept lookin for Dennis's interview at Sharkeys...maybe Nomad should make a film starring it's members...that would be pretty funny!!!Mengano - 10-26-2011 at 11:09 AM

The camera work is a lot better than the script. Considering the goals of the "Baja Image Committee," they used a lot of restraint and didn't push
the safety issue too hard. They can always re-do the title and script and re-make it as "What Was Baja" in the future so we don't all forget what we
once had.mtgoat666 - 10-26-2011 at 12:22 PM

I watched every second hoping for Dennis to appear from Sharky's... They did make a few absolutely false statements- but that was still using
restraint. I liked that they talked about falling real estate prices but absolutely disagree the Mexican locals will give their lives to save
tourism. Yeah- tourism is important to Mexicans, but they aren't stupid- just underemployed and as a result of the tourism decline.DENNIS - 10-26-2011 at 01:51 PM

I'm still waiting as well. This Chamber of Commerce white-washing would have had at least a little credibility with an interview of the man on the
street and not all business people who benefit from tourism spending and foreign investment.
I wonder if the sequel will show some fotos of the skinned body they found in Ensenada the other day. That would be colorful.Udo - 10-26-2011 at 02:04 PM
Gracias for posting the video TW, I saved the link and will forward this excellent video to all my doubting friends.Skipjack Joe - 10-26-2011 at 03:03 PM
Nothing in that video would want to make me want to go to baja. And I love the place.David K - 10-27-2011 at 08:07 AM
Too much Rosarito Beach, golfing and Guadalupe Valley, too little open country and clean air, natural wonders, empty beaches, not one palm filled
oasis... But, for trying to get people back to the border zone/ Golden Triangle (Tijuana, Tecate, Ensenada), it was pretty good. Saw a couple brief
clips of San Felipe.MitchMan - 10-27-2011 at 10:08 AM
C'mon, that video was a white wash with an agenda with one goal in mind, to increase tourism. It in no way told the whole truth. It is not a piece
of quality journalism, it is commercial promotion.
Don't be confused by propaganda; separate fact from fiction, marketing from documentary.
However, most of us Nomads love Baja, inspite of knowing the whole truth.bigzaggin - 10-27-2011 at 10:16 AM
Notably absent: Dude siphoning gas at Catavina, 3-legged dogs and, oh yeah, MEXICANS.Pompano - 10-27-2011 at 10:29 AM
That clip showed me a different side of Baja. Baja Norte... a wholly different atmosphere and attraction than Baja Sur.
I have glanced at borderland-Baja many times from the sixties to now. I stop and look around, but the crowded scenes always drive me south ....to
home.
I think the clip 'was a good sell' on Baja Norte. I hope it helps tourism for both Baja Californias.
