El Faro Christian Center has dorm room for use of families or groups. We are a Christian Base group that will welcome all and work with short term mission projects. You can check out our web site at www.esmi-mx.org. or email us at georgemcclure@cten.org.

The sailor does not pray for wind, he learns to sail.

That is very good. Tolerance and understanding are far too rare today.

ateo. Take him up on his invitation. You probably wouldn't do it though, because it would scare the devil out of you, if the Lord put his hand on your shoulder while you were there!!!!

I dunno. Just seems to me that the overwhelming number of self-proclaimed Christian groups have, as a fundamental precept, the idea of saving souls, conversion, according to their beliefs.

Kinda reminds me of the so-called greeters at WalMart in Cabo, who are actually time share shills whose company pays WalMart to allow them to be there.

Sure, they will gladly show you where to find the coffee and the beer. But, without fail, they will ultimate work it around to attempt to get you to a breakfast presentation somewhere.

Methinks that the El Faro Christian Center, the Maranatha RV Park in La Paz, and the Hotel California have much in common. You can check out, but you can never leave!:lol:

OT, but heck I'm new here so I'll wade in:

Will Rogers said: "Religion is like a toothbrush. Everybody ought to have one, but I don't want yours."

I guess most cultures have forgotten what the Spanish actually "brought" the regions they conquered. I live in the land ravaged and exploited by Cortez, Onate (How DOES one insert a tilde??) and the missionaries along the Camino Real....
