......needs 55 Gallon plastic trash bags

mcfez - 11-2-2011 at 08:13 AM

Martin Romo at Rosita's restaurant at the north end of the Malecon badly needs 55 Gallon plastic trash bags for his beach cleanup team. If you can bring him such bags (eg from Costco) all of San Felipe will benefit. The town does not have the funds to buy these supplies.

mulegemichael - 11-2-2011 at 07:36 PM

hey fez....i might be wrong, but i think the largest bags costco offers is 35 gallon...am i wrong???

mcfez - 11-2-2011 at 10:22 PM

Well Dave........Martin Romo drives to Mexicali's Costco 183 k away....at a fuel cost of $21.00.........buys the bags at a cost of $15.00.........Martin Romo drives back from Mexicali's Costco 183 k away....at a fuel cost of $21.00........then he meets a whole bunch of great volunteers (not you) at the beach that he pays for his own fuel to get there and back ...say ten bucks.......geeze Dave.........................it's lunch time(!) another $10.00..............................oh yeah...that free coffee and drink he gives to the good volunteers (not you)...........wow.....now he has to rid all that trash all the great fantastic human volunteers (not you) just picked up............while you were being lazy as hell ....sitting around in your jock shorts.....typing in stupid ass responses at the BN .

I got $77.00 not counting that dump fee...free coffee and drinks.....and most likely other costs incurred.... Do that once a month.....$924.00 per year......

Yes Dave......this why as you asked "why doesn't he the F'n go to the store and get them"?

Yes, at Zsamaniegos, corner of Mar de Caribe North and Puerto Penasco. But McFuzz can't find it, so he drives to Mexicali.

norte - 11-3-2011 at 08:29 AM

Or just another internet beggar...He only wants free ones.

sanquintinsince73 - 11-3-2011 at 08:31 AM

"Why doesn't he go to the store and buy them?" Listen up numbnuts, they don't have the funds to buy them. Lay of the McFez, he's just trying to help.

norte - 11-3-2011 at 08:33 AM

McFez is up in NorCal. If he could he'd be there with 1000 bags. Lay off dude; some people are trying to clean up their town and you guy's jump all over the guy trying to secure bags? I don't get it.

Barry A. - 11-3-2011 at 08:41 AM

Wow, there are some great community-minded folks out there trying to resolve a problem (trash) and get some help from others because they can't do it on their own, and they are shouted at by other folks for just trying to get help ---------Jeeeeezo, what lousy attitudes some folks have!

If you don't want to help, fine, but why put-down the guy asking for help??? :?:

I shouldn't waste my time on a person like you (you are a person, right?)
but I jumped in in defense of Deno because he is a heck of a guy who loves his San Felipe. He is active in his community when he is in town and he is always quick to help others.'Nuff said, crawl back into your man cave.

Here.....Norte .....

Hey Jockboy norte.....

Since it sounds like you have loads of money....and not so much on brains....

I'll kick $500.00 right now....thru someone trust worthy person in San Felipe (not you) as a escrow tool. You match my funds....then we'll give the clean up crew that $1000.00 I'm a open book here....real name...real addresses...real person. I'm a do'er....you are just a nay'er. A mouthy little 'thang' (that's you)hide beside a keyboard all day just to knock down good deeds and good intentions. Big mouths such as you, are really such a nuisance to good folks.

You wont do it.....all show and no go. Get lost.

I'd rather have future conversations with a c-ckroach that you.

Mengano....Baja1943 your brother? :-)

Thanks to both of you....for keeping this post at the top

The idea that a town 100% dependent on tourism derived from its beaches should not have the funds necessary to clean them is ludicrous. Monies should be budgeted and work crews employed to this end. I realize that this would entail planning, a word typically foreign to the Mexican lexicon yet understandably so...

Especially when you have gringos willing to donate their time and money.

I see your point and Mexico is what it is. But if some individuals are willing to do what the municipio won't, why not lend a hand instead of shooting the messenger.

On another thread it says they are going to remodel the boardwalk soon- so there is money... but why spend it if you can beg?

"Plus starting after the shrimp festival the Melecon is suppose to be reconstructed."

hmmm...seems we have plenty money in our towns up here, but still have MANY community minded groups that adopt-a-highway or adopt-a-beach all over the US...why would San Felipe be anny different???

Hey Deno..wont be down that way any time soon, but would gladly kick in a few "bucks for bags"

Cheers

United Way
Salvation Army
Feed the Children
American Cancer Society
Gifts in Kind International
AmeriCares
YMCAs in the United States
American National Red Cross
Catholic Charities USA
America's Second Harvest

Hell...USA shouldn't need these above groups.....we have budgets!

Yes.....I've heard where the govt was going to help out the unfortunate with housing and food. years ago. Well.....let's not help out these people since help is on it's way!!!!!!!!!!

"let the bastards starve"....I can hear Dave saying that right about now!

Why is there so many volunteer groups in San Felipe.....and other towns of Baja? Duh Dave.....they could use some help.

The very highly connected advertiser of this site .....BajaBound .com......geeze Dave...look at this:
http://blog.bajabound.com/baja-bound-mag-7-donation-drive-at...

Dave...go change your soiled jock shorts, turn off the idiot T.V......and go do something nice for a few folks or two. It'll make you feel really good....just like Martin Romo from Rosita's Restaurant and his volunteers.

Me? I hear you thinking Dave! Each year (except last year)...We picked up Jessica who's family owns the Nurseries in San Felipe....we cruise thru the poorer sections of SF to drop off over 300 stuff animals (brand new that I bought).......30 custom gifts (in large bags).....and I also deliver to one old woman (over by the Military base) 60 days worth of food.

What about you Dave?

I donated a big sum of money towards Dr. Victor Abasolo M.D. new medical complex......that glass door you see there off Calz Chetumal, between the Arches and the 7-11 Gas station

What about you Dave?

I donated cash to the http://sanfelipefoodbank.org They got a major task to do there! What a fantastic outfit....read their website Dave...and be humble.......donate a note to them.

What about you Dave?

What about you Dave?.......ah....why bother...the local govt takes care of it all....or they should had. Right?

Stop being a idiot Dave.

Did any Mexicans in San Felipe ask for donations to send 55-gallon trash bags up there?
