I'm in La Paz and have dish network and get the 119 and 129 satellite fine-- I have two dishes and get HD for everything I get-- but no local
programming and I'm missing some of my ESPN programming because I can't get the 110 satellite. I have room on my roof for another dish and wonder will

Not going to happen unless something has changed in the last 2 years.
I used an 8' in L.B. and only got a couple of transponders, nothing of interest on those. There are only a few channels you are missing, like the
military etc as you have the 129 up and running. Lots of the movie channels are filled in with 129 also. The bulk of the 110 channels you can not get
with any size antenna as they just are too well focused on the States. The locals on 110 are just like the locals on 129, spot beams. The only
networks not on spot are NY and perhaps a few isolated like KTLA if you have a So Cal sub. Enjoy what you have, some day our TV will be via the

Yep, no locals. As said, they are on a spot beam so that they can only be received in the local markets. It's that way so they can respect their

Alan you are a good source of knowledge on satellite reception in Baja. Are you doing the DSL via small antennas from Cabo, I have a group of 10 homes

Sorry, I just saw this question.
We've setup shared satellite Internet systems using HughesNet and V Sat, then piped it out through a wireless distribution network. We haven't done
this yet with TelMex DSL as the Internet source but the principal is the same
Key is getting everyone to understand it's a shared system, and cooperate to not run it over its limits.
It's a lot like sharing a water tank (the data bucket) with your neighbors. If you have one or two neighbors taking showers all day (think streaming
video or audio), they'll pull down everyone else's available water flow (speed).
In the case of HughesNet, these "power washers" will quickly drain the tank (exceed the daily data allowance). Then the flow drops to a trickle for
