Nice letter in the latest Off-Road magazine from Ken Neal a reader who was part of the Rip to the Tip group. They stayed at the Baja Cactus hotel in El Rosario the night before crossing the border. When he got to the border he realized he did not have his wallet. He called the hotel and talked to Antonio and was told they found his wallet and would get it back to him. He had $1000 in cash and credit cards in it. Antonio hand delivered the wallet to Celia at the binational emergency office in Chula Vista who in turn UPS it to his Mesa AZ address. Antonio had called Celia before talking to Ken because he had found her emergency card in his wallet. Note everything was still in his wallet, money credit cards everything.

Great little vignette, TW. Good to hear those instead of all the negative stuff happening.

It is this kind of extra effort that we as a group of Baja travelers should reward with our business... anywhere it happens! VIVA BAJA CACTUS, EL ROSARIO :bounce:

Did they complete the trip and make a video?

Im guessing the boys hearts dropped out of the ride when Ox died.

Hurray for the "Good Guys" in Baja like Antonio and Hurray for T.W. for sharing this. A little of the good takes some of the bad away and we need as much of the little good to continue if other Nomads know of others doing as Antonio did. Just GREAAAAAAT!! Absolutely. Baja Cactus has been taking it on the chin a bit here recently and I'm glad to read this to balance things out.

I don't know how many times(many) I've started to walk out of a restaurant in baja without my camera bag to have someone run out to give it to me.

I will never forget Antonio's kindness and help while I was so sick in my room with food poisoning. I always plan my trips down and back with a stay at The Baja Cactus.

Thank you for reporting the good news, TW.
