Large devlopment..South of Loreto
Have run into some guests coming to town.. Seems the service out there is not up to other Villa Group properties, even though they are bring staff in
from other resorts
They tell stories of the food being very good, but long waits and poor service/ overpriced..
One couple caught some Dorado, and brought it to the resturant for prep..ended up costing them $70US for the fish prepared only one way...[
They do have a special section for Nomads..

We stayed there in May 2011 brand new, and yes very pricey, definitely not 500 pesos. There are mini kitchens in the rooms. Unless you are wealth
would recommend stopping in Loreto and buying some groceries. This resort is about 30 miles from Loreto, the resaurants at the resort at high priced
for the Baja. The special was $47 per person at the Italian restaurant (the only one open at the time). This is a timeshare resort so be prepared for
the sales pitch. We also noticed kind of the cold shoulder after we did not buy a timeshare. It is a very long dirt road off the highway about three
miles. I will not be returning. We stayed after a special offer from Puerto Vallarta timeshare pitch. Upon checkout they had charged us for the room

Is this the place that set up at Ensenada Blanca and took away access to almost the entire bay from the local village (who has used the beach od

I just read their website. I'm not impressed with this resort. Wonder if they will just let you drive into their resort for a "look around"??????
Anyone from Loreto that lives there done this yet?? My bet is, a year from now, only one restaurant will be open. Mini market will be marginable
offerings. And rates will start increasing from Way to high to begin with, to really Way to high to end up with. Also noted that they promote flying
into San Jose del Cabo, and catch a flight to Loreto on the Mexican airline.?????
Is Loreto airport still operating out of their New facilities?? Wouldn't surprise me if they closed that and went back to their old building. How

That depends on whether you want the swimming pools to yourself. And the restaurants to yourself. And like isolation. Some people will pay $500.00 a

It is a time share. Their primary goal is to sell unit/weeks.
The Villa Group has resorts in Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, maybe others.
They have a deal with AeroCalafia where there are flights three times a week from SJD with a hotel package. I'm thinking that their long term plan is
to encourage current owners at their other resorts to "trade" into this property.
I once actually attended a time share presentation at Villa Del Palmar in Cabo for the specific intent of getting some free ATV time for a couple of
youngster who were with us. I personally hate the whole time share presentation thing, but did so at the behest of one of the kid's parents. We also
got some coupons for free lobster dinners at a now defunct Cabo restaurant, whereafter we all got sick.
Those of you in Loreto are familiar with the Hotel Santa Fe right on Salvatierra across the street from Domingo's. Villa Group has a history of
building companion properties near their big resort developments. Santa Fe has big banners up offering specials. Problem is that IF you do stay there,
you will be hounded unmercifully by time share sales people.
That said, this new development at Ensenada Blanca is remote from town, and aside from the jobs they created having to staff the place, they really
don't appear to be a tourism boon to Loreto, simply because of the distance factor.
As a contrast, their two properties in Cabo are quite close to town, and they must price their meals and drinks based upon the reality that folks
staying there can easily walk into town. Not so in Ensenada Blanca.
However, whatever one might say about this project, the Villa Group has a pretty good track record, so I would not bet against them.

personally i think even that is too much but they did do a fab job on the rehab.

Mrs. BajaInMyFuture and I own at VDP in Cabo. Last September on our way back north from Cabo we stopped by VDP Loreto for a look around. It really
looked like a nice place and was mostly empty. Not sure I would ever buy there but plan on staying there sometime in the future.
