Here is a site I have used with some great stuff - might have duplicates with the site you mentioned.
http://visibleearth.nasa.gov/
This site has the following copyright info-
Reproduction Guidelines/Copyright
Unless otherwise noted, all images and animations made available through Visible Earth are generally not copyrighted. You may use NASA imagery, video
and audio material for educational or informational purposes, including photo collections, textbooks, public exhibits, and Internet web pages. This
general permission does not include the NASA insignia logo (the blue "meatball" insignia).
For commercial use, the use of some images may require further coordination through a NASA corporate associate (for example, ORBIMAGE is the required
contact for the commercial use of any SeaWiFS images). Images in Visible Earth that require further commercial permissions are so noted.

gringorio,
In most cases NASA data (i.e. Astronaut Photography of Earth) does not require any licensing. They typically would like some sort of reference to
where the data was obtained. Check out: http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/Info/use.htm
In my work, we don?t use Astronaut Photography data sets. It has to do with the technical aspects of the imagery and print quality.
