liar. i see first point. AND there is no blurrrr associated with the kids dis-assocciation of speed related to foot pedal! :lol:

at least they have their seatbelts on - most kids around here don't.

WE made it. Poor car!! Poor Wendy. Poor Me!! Poor front end of the Toyotal Sienna minivan. Vado's. If you haven't driven this road from San Felipe to Golnzaga Bay, you haven't lived. Straight looking roads. But LOOK OUT! The vado's are out to get you. Driving along, and suddenly, without warning, the roadway suddenly falls away to China, and next thing you know, your bouncing our of the hole, and into the stratusphere, then back to earth.
Screaming wife!!! Hurt feelings. And before you are able to count to ten, BAM! Your in another hole, and another bouncing to the stars, and another screaming wife AGAIn!!!! My God. How long is this going to keep up???? Well, while your trying to figure out if you should drive this highway at 5 mph, you look down the road, and it's as flat as an ironing board, and hyou say, great. Now I can get it up to maybe 40 mph, when suddenly, you drop out of sight again, and before you can say, H.S. your in the air again.
Coney Island has nothing on this road!!!! I guess I should have let Wendy drive this stretch. Then this morning leaving G.B. (Alfonsina's Motel) at 7 a.m. we began the true test of an auto's endurance. 38 miles of corncob roadway!!!! We didn't run into another car for the first 37 miles. Then one car came our direction. It had rained sometime previously. So we delt with some mud puddles that were drying out. The road was washboard. The road was bumpy. The road was rough. The road was challenging. Would we drive it again? Heck yes. Coming from Phoenix area, we must have saved about 175 miles going this way. After all that shaking and quaking, and swervingf & slamming on the breaks (no we didn't deflate-I hate deflate because I don't want to cut my sidwalls) And we didn't. But if your looking for an adventure, and your not driving a really low clearance car. This is the route!!! Go for it. We did, and we are glad we did. Another thought. I'd recommend you check your tires, and be sure you have at least 80% rubber, and they aren't some cheap for the blacktop only tires. Because you'll lose at least one or two otherwise.

So we are clear, my daughter did drive my truck, but in the photo above she was just posing... as her seat belt was not on... and you can't drive my truck without the seat belt on (my rules, as well as the ding ding bell going off).

Anyone know if there are seat belt laws in Mexico? Don't laugh.....ya never know. Last weekend I was diving thru the streets of TJ and saw a little 3 year old girl in the front seat, not belted in. Traffic was dangerous and at that speed she's go right thru the window. Stupid.....

Haha. Oh yeah. Duh......see those signs everywhere. Guess I thought they may just be educational but not actual law.

At times, they have enforced the seat belt law in Bahia Asuncion---but it seems like when they set up the check point, they just quickly look at the driver. People have received tickets---good money maker.

I don't think it applies to children. It seems that everywhere it is OK for babies to ride in mom's lap-----I believe it was Dennis who recently referred to those babies as human air bags and I agree.

Yea, my Paceno hubby has taught all the kids to drive (starting about age 5)! It's OK when we're in the desolate roads around Cabo, but I'm not real keen on it when he has them driving in our National City neighborhood!

They all enjoy it, though....and I don't usually find out about it till later!

My 2 nieces and 2 step-sons have all managed to get their licenses out of it! Still a few more years for my girlies...glad that he has taken on the responsibility...I remember the trauma that my mom and I went through when I was learning at 15!
