Being a Geographer and a previous resident of the Imperial Valley I had seen these reports before, but enjoyed reviewing them once again. The general public outside the Mexicali and Imperial Valley's never realized how consequential this quake was---------there are changes that will effect the area for hundreds, maybe thousands, of years, creating many mysteries and patterns on the earth's surface only now becoming clear. It was a HUGE event!!!

Mother Nature in all it's awesome power, far beyond our immediate comprehension, is ever present.

Many thanks for posting this site.

----------and, it blocked off my favorite drive-in slot canyon in Anza-Borrego State Park (Sandstone Canyon off Fish Creek wash) with a big rock fall.

Bummer!!!!
