I don't think that photo is the Agua Verde road. The photo shows a two lane asphalt road and I don't remember any asphalt. A very steep section that
had concrete. I have only motorcycled down there but was pretty impressed by that descent. I know that Juan and Shari towed their panga there which

you may want to double check the drama-o-meter at aqua verde...saw a fair few black jacket real national level homicide type cops there about 2 years
ago...just saying...its so pretty and all that but a few freaks and a bit of remoteness and some times there can be drama down in there..there have

Blanca, you should not have any problems IF-IF-IF the road has been maintained properly. And IF-IF-IF they have indeed
widened the grades going down, it's a walk in the park.
(You know how I feel about all those IF's...)
We took many travel trailers, 26ft-33ft motorhomes, buses, bread truck conversions, etc down the 'old grade' in the 80's and early 90's, and the road
was certainly in far worse shape back then. I recall keeping the doors ajar going down...to save time, just in case it was time to abandon
ship.
AGUA VERDE CAMPSITES 1987-1992
A challenge for launching, but we were up it and managed quite well with our light 'tin' boats and custom high-clearance trailers.
Here's a pic of the Green Tortoise bus camped in one of the Agua Verde beach campsites. Pretty calm.
We took many vacations from our vacation in Conception Bay to Agua Verde and always enjoyed a tranquill & no-hassle time. So your plans
should go well..a great adventure awaits you...don't let it pass by. And if it's a bit of a challenge, so be it...only dead fish swim with the
stream.
Security. On all my camping trips to Agua Verde, I never had a minutes trouble with anything....except for mi amigos using up all my TP!

even WE woiuldnt take a big RV in there...and we wont be towing the whaler down there again...we had to rebuild the road a few times and it was real
touch and go with milimeters to spare on some corners and thought we were gonna lose the boat over the edge a few times...I wouldnt risk a big
rig...it's hairy enough in a normal truck...the green tortoise leaves it's big bus up part way and they ferry the hippies down in smaller vehicles to
their camp.
Agua Verde is hands down one of baja's most beautiful areas but there is some funky stuff goes on sometimes....if you do go, ask for Martin la policia
to get you a lamb or goat to BBQ...his wife will do it for you if you bring the food and throw them a tip...exquisite!Pompano - 11-22-2011 at 08:11 AM

Like I said..IF-IF-IF. Times are a'changing in Baja. Glad we went whe we did.

I was there in 2004 and road was really narrow, there was one exceptionally bad spot that I didn't like and I was in a Tacoma! I'm with Shari, don't
take a trailer. Really, really pretty place and no problems at all back then

I go there with my family every year at Thanksgiving and I would not tow anything big down that road. It is killing me that we can't go this year
(new baby at home that does not travel well yet) but hope to get back next year. Some of the little side roads to the beaches are even worse than the
road down so even though you might make it down the trip back can be an even bigger challenge. Having been there so many times during the past 20
years I can tell you the road is a crapshoot each time. Sometimes it is very passable and others I am very happy to have 4WD but it is never good for

This incident occurred on the Arctic Circle which is a section of Hwy 18 on
the way to Big Bear Lake, Ca. A friend of mine was one of the firefighters that responded.
