It's Satsuma Mandarin time - good salsa

Every fall we buy bags of these and have them lying around like a dish of nuts. Can't walk by without grabbing one.

Mandarin Salsa with Avocado
Ingredients
6 Medium to large Satsuma Mandarins
2 Roma Tomatoes
1 avocado
2 jalapenos
2 cloves of garlic
Juice of 1 lime
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
Instructions:
Peel and segment mandarins. Finely chop mandarins, tomatoes, avocado, peppers, and garlic. Add lime juiced and seasonings, stir.

Looks like a fine recipe, Santiago. But honestly, I like Satsuma mandarins 'au naturale'. Thanks for reminding me to go shopping.

Hey Santiago;
Are Satsumas the same as Clementines?

No. Think BC bud vrs. the stuff from the '60s.
