San Felipe Malecon upgrade

mcfez - 11-26-2011 at 11:52 PM

On Friday, the long anticipated work to remodel the Malecon started. At present the contractor is tearing up the sidewalks on either side of the south feeder road next to the Costa Azul Hotel. Traffic is still circulating normally but I expect that there will be periods during the next 2 months when the new concrete sidewalks are poured and the road will be blocked as the work proceeds north. sfmex

Just sayin.

Why don't you give them some of your valuable incite by chiming in with your "waste management" expertise.?

Good point! I just hope that they install many trees with a decent watering system. Regardless...that upgrade is vastly needed.

Mcfez, got to get back down to San Felipe after the first of the year since I haven't been there for a long time. We use to go a lot in the late 70's and 80's but then started going to Rosarito area more but always had a good time in San Felipe except in August,LOL!! Use to love sitting on the Malecon watching the people on Saturday nights driving by the area and walking with family.

My friend that had a business operation in Imperial Valley use to take a lot of things down to the fire department and even got a fire engine donated from L.A. to them. The fire chief was a really nice guy and his brother was the fire chief in Mexicali at the time.

I promised my buddy I would take him down there since he has not been since his high school years and since he is 60 now it has been a long time,. Take Care & Travel Safe---"No Hurry, No Worry, Just FUN" bajafun777

Your welcomed!

It seems that there are many malecons being upgrade. Puerto Vallarta is doing theirs too

Are they going to do something about the smell of urine that the governor complained about?

As much as I like SF, my formative Mex yrs. were spent
PV and so., it is a bit unfair to mention them
together, although no one was comparing the 2
