Best of luck to you!

Be sure to meet Sara ('Eli' here on Nomad), who lives in Los Barriles and is quite the artist, for possible support and ideas!

Thank you for your response.

Would you be interested working with an orphanage in the south end of La Paz. About 30 great kids but you could work with a smaller group of them.

Yes! Most definitely.

What kind of paint do you use? Wonderful project - I'm sure Baja CA inspires much creativity. Good luck.
PS: "Amazing" is a non-word now. What do the murals actually look like?

Brad, it is great that you are outreaching to others in sharing how to paint. It took my wife and I some time to find someone to re-teach her skills lost due to time off from painting. We found a great lady in Rosarito but it was not easy to find someone to teach painting, even with the help of this board. So, good for you and when we visit La Paz again maybe we can stop by your place to see how things are going. Take Care & Travel Safe---"No Hurry, No Worry, Just FUN" bajafun777

Good cheap paint

Bajadearte,
When I first started learning to paint, My Maestro gave me COMEX Pro1000 primary colors + white to work with. We still use it for the classes we give at the gallery here in Los Barriles. Bought by the liter and poured into plastic ketchup type squirt bottles, it is a cheap, easy to use and excellent paint for Murals also.
Many of the fine (but poor) artist I know in Oaxaca use this paint.
Also, COMEX 5x1 clear sealer is inexpensive and works great.
In looking for a free place to work out of, you might check out local community centers in La Paz.
Best of Luck in Your endeavors, Sara
