Motels Guadalupe Valle/Tecate?????

Phil S - 12-3-2011 at 12:12 PM

I'll be heading north Tuesday from Santa Rosalia & 'searched' for Guadalupe Valle Motels & or B&B in 'our' search engine. Got nothing. Though there are several available. I want something decent. Any recommendations? And rates would help. Pool not necessary. Just a clean room & beds. Anyone heard of a B&B there called Vinedos Malagon?
Hope someone is familiar with the area.
Thanks.

Here ya go. There are no "motels" unless they built one yesterday.

Phil,
SWMBO and I were here a year or so ago. It was just opening up - all new interiors and furniture. I would get a room a the back, as far from the road as you can although I think they have a wall built by now, might help. Price was some where in the $50 range I think. They had wine tasting in the center area if you like that.

J.P. We recall seeing last winter on the way back(northbound) "on the right hand side" not close to any town? Is that the one you are thinking of? Would be fine to find one closer to Tecate though.
Dennis. Thanks for the info. Way too pricey for us for just an 'overnight' stop. They do look great for stopping for some R&R for several days however.
Anyone reading this know the name or perhaps a phone number of the one J.P. mentions?????/

Up closer to Tecate there are a couple in the area next to the Federal police station. the one we were talking about earlier is new and i have never noticed a lot of buisness there

Ohh well.....I thought the place was all B+B's. I'm only allowed to drive through the valley without stopping for wine samples.

Thank you all. We have chosen Hotel Plaza Fatima at $45.00 for two persons. Anyone stayed here before?????

Phil,
that was the place I was refering to in my reply above. Before you get the room to the back, ask if they hare having musica in the rotundra that evening. You might want to go to the front as it was loud; or else just go to the show.

Thanks Santiago. I'll do that for sure.
