Paint your own picture of todays sunrise in Cabo. Close your eyes. Visualize black & white. The sun starts to rise, but you can't see it because of the clouds. There is no color. The fishing fleet is leaving the marina. All the boats are black & white. Still no color in the sunrise. The sun tries to push through the clouds. You see the horizon of the gray ocean. Light begins to brighten. But there still is nothing but black & white. And at 8 a.m. it's bright out, but still 'the painter' does not give us the reds. The orange. The pinks. The ambers. Is this how today will continue? Color sparks the imagination. It lifts you up. It helps to make your day seem brighter. So, now you must paint your own day to achieve your highest pleasures without "the painter" doing it for you. (as seen from the Pacific side of Cabo)

wow Phil....your prose painting was excellent albeit a little black and white!

it is a cloudless, windless bright sunny day over on the Pacside...fishermen are smiling.

When you are risen on the eastern horizon
You have filled every land with your beauty...
Though you are far away, your rays are on Earth.

AKHNATON
Hymn to the Sun (ca. 1370 b.c.)

In Akhnaton's time of sun worship, light was thought to be the gaze of God.
