There was an earlier discussion about Noche Buena beer and I suggested that it was -perhaps- just XX with a pretty poinsettia label. I was speaking
from memory, from a 10- day Christmas trip a couple of years ago in San Felipe, where I did my best to buy and drink all the Noche Buena in town.
Curious, I went back to take another look with a more discriminating eye (and palette). After extensive RECENT investigative studies I wish to, with
appropriate apologies, recant my earlier ignorant opinion.
Noche Buena, at least the USA import version, is a VERY Bock-like brew. In a glass, it is indeed quite dark. It has a hint of Bohemia flavor, but is
much stronger. Its also kind of THICK. I tried to drink my usual evening's 6 or 8 (no problem with Negra Modelo or Bohemia) but could not do it! The
Noche Buena of this season is heavy and thick! Real nice flavor, but far too heavy to just pound. Don't take my word for it! I'd like to hear other,
informed, opinions. Hey you could be doing worse things with you time...... H.

Yep....it says Bock right on the box.....for whatever that's worth. It'll be fun to see what it says next year.
