You'll probably have to copy & paste this URL but it has some good photos of the17' model. There a a couple of them here and really work well for the inshore fishing but the 21' cc is a huge step up and handles the SOC chop much better. But also a huge step up in price. I'd trade my 14' tin boat in a second for the 17cc Triumph.

Yeah its a great little boat......We have had it over 20 miles out here in San Diego and it handles the Ocean well. Yep the 21 ft model is my Favorite all around CC on the market.......

As with a tin boat, you just need to pick your days Russ. I've run 20+ miles out, past Espiritu Santo to El Bajo, virtually circumnavigated Cerralvo, to the shark buoys on good days. Got caught with my shorts down a few times when the wind kicked up, I just slowed down and motored through it. I know the boat CANNOT sink, so just keep the motor dry! :saint:

A Sweet little center console. Can it stand much chop, amigo? I am always interested in another boat, but my back is not so limber as it once was. :rolleyes:

It might be just the ticket for hauling behind a fifth-wheel to keep within the length limits.

The 17cc handles small chop well, but the ride does get a little rough, and/or wet, in anything more than 2ft or so. Slow down to 10-12mph, and you are fine as it gets rougher. Give me a calm wind and long period swells, and it is off to the races! With a 60hp Merc 4 stroke, she will cruise 25mph on the GPS, and pull down about 5-6mpg at 4500rpm. I have put almost 100 miles on the boat in a day, verified by GPS, and had a little left in the 20 gallon tank. Mix of trolling and hauling burro.

I agree with Jon it handles the chop great for a boat its size....Even in the larger stuff just slow her down........Nice thing With the boat being plastic it absorbs some of the shock that fiberglass and alum doesn't....

Thanks for the pics, Derek...like I said, a sweet boat. If it's still available when I get back to San Diego, I'll take a look. In the meantime, happy boat selling...almost as much fun as buying one.

I will take the liberty of posting the photos here to enhance your sale.

Say, Derek..strange similarity.....that Triumph 17' has a nice amount of bow space..a lot like my Yarcraft's.

after you sell the boat,I'll spill the bean's about THE boat for baja and no it's not aback brakeing panga,,WITH due respect to mac shorer who designed them (nice guy) and that boat your selling has a great materal,, that it's built with.. I think we will see more boat's made with that stuff...back to 22/16...out!!

Before I relocated to La Paz, I carefully researched boats in my limited price range. Keying on durability, safety, operating costs, ease of launching and retrieving, and fishability. I looked at Gregors, Klamaths, the few Whalers I could find in my budget limits, a ton of 16-19ft center consoles, even a few larger RIBs.

The indestructable hull, light weight of the 17 footer, and the economical 60hp 4 stroke got the nod!!

No scrubbing, no waxing or polishing, very little fading. I can run 100 miles on 600 pesos of Pemex. Takes me longer to clean the fish than the boat!!! :biggrin:

It is the perfect Baja boat for me!! Your results may vary!!!
