I know what the Google and Yahoo/Bablfish translators say, but if I want to hoist a glass to a Hispanic friend, what's proper. salute, salude, or
saludos?
Is "saludos mi amiga, feliz navidad" proper? Or is "Feliz Navidad mi amiga, salude!" better?
Thanks in advance
"Vamos a brindar por la amistad"

Should be the endearment that is attached to the end of your statement.BillP - 12-23-2011 at 07:36 PM

Ok, so if I say "Feliz Navidad, Vamos a brindar por la amistad mi amiga" would be proper?Ateo - 12-23-2011 at 07:56 PM
From my Mexican wife, ALL ways of saying Merry Christmas and a toast from a guero guy is cute. So, go for it. If you mess up they will still love
you and think you tried.

In my limited understanding of Spanish grammar I believe that this is the way you should structure your sentence,Ateo - 12-23-2011 at 08:01 PM
Seriously, my wife told me like 3 different answers to post as far as proper grammar, then just said, "say Merry Christmas and mean it, she'll
understand you".Loretana - 12-23-2011 at 08:02 PM
