Mengano - 12-30-2011 at 07:14 PM

That's Papas and Beer and a few other stores right on Ruiz and Primera in the heart of Ensenada at 4:45PM today.

That looks like a bad fire. Ensenada will come back, though.

Bob H - 12-30-2011 at 07:23 PM

Wow!! Someone left the pot of beans on the stove way too long.
:fire:

I am glad to see that Ensenada has really nice fire fighting equipment on the scene, relatively quickly!

Looks like a lot of folks are off to a challenging 2012.

What a shame!

Oddjob - 12-30-2011 at 07:49 PM

They may have missed a payment. Did they ever get hoses for the new trucks?

Bob H - 12-30-2011 at 08:23 PM

wow, this looks really bad! Looks like the flames are blowing AWAY from Hussongs or that place would be gone.

Let's hope that nobody was hurt!

Bob H - 12-30-2011 at 11:35 PM

Papas and Beer in Ensenada is GONE!

I wonder if these fires are related? :?:

Feds chasing fast-moving Hollywood arsonists
New Year's is high time for serial arsonists, research shows, and Hollywood firefighters are seeing that phenomenon first hand as they chase potential copy-catters who continued to set cars ablaze Saturday morning.

13 new fires overnight tied to LA serial arsonist

Either way insurance is good.

It's a start, anyway. For the people whose cars burned last night (13 in all), it will help them make a down payment on a new car.

As for the Blvd. 2000 Burning Blazer, I wonder if it was a cooling issue or a case of arson. :?:

Full coverage in Mexico is uncommon and really expensive. Cars arn't financed so it's not mandatory.
We can hope for the best.
