Does anybody here live in Tecate? If so, what is your opinion on what living there would be like for a retired American couple who speak fluent
Spanish? We have a car.

I had a friend that lived there for 20 years going back and forth between El Centro and Tecate. He did not like the winters there and he did not like
the border closing at 10pm at night, however the 6am opening made him happy. If the cold doesn't bother you nor knowing the border is closed during
evening hours then it would be a nice place.
I visited him a lot and liked the Park on Benito Juarez you pass by after you enter Tecate from U.S.A. It is the street about four or five blocks
straight down as you enter. This is the street that you will find most of whatever you are looking for. Suggestion would be to rent for a while to
see how it goes and we always found the people in Tecate very friendly since a lot of retired people do live or visit there. Take Care & Travel
