I want US satellite TV in Tijuana

I live 5 minutes across the San Ysidro border and want US TV programming. I have seen previous discussion about options but I can't find any now on the search.

Ideas???

I would love to have Mexican programming (SKY TV) and leave the endless commercials to everyone here in the US of A.

My advice would be to begin streaming your video from your computer to your television.

Here is a good place to begin:

I don't think I can do that. I have tried and they tell me they can't stream the programs to other countries.

Why can't you just put up an antenna and get free reception? You're right there.

We put up a digital antennae (about $50) and get the High Def San Diego and TJ stations from Rosarito for free. Move your satellite equipment yourself from any stateside address and set it up in TJ.

There are a couple of ways to do it. First and possibly the best and cheapest way is to have a freind in southern Ca with a Directv subscription and have him get an extra receiver from Directv for $5 a month and then you put up a dish at your place in TJ and you are done. Or get a So cal address and subscribe yourself to DTV.
