Wow, Shari, great shots of the waves beyond your casa... love the rock extensions to your home since we were there. What a special spot in Baja you

Hi Shari and Juan, great photos of your place and the blow hole, love your extension to the Casa, its been almost two years since we spent a week at

Hey Mike & Jo...nice to see you here in the Nomad sandbox! A gang of us have been watching the kids surf out here at Ensenadita in the enormous

Great shots Shari!
I grew up a block from the ocean, and couldn't sleep when it was this big. I would lay there and listen to each wave begin to break, the booming crack
of the lip falling followed by the roar as it collapsed down the shoulder.
But still, not sleeping is, not sleeping.woody with a view - 1-7-2012 at 10:43 PM
summertime we'd go to the strand theater in OB and see surf films like 5 summer stories, free ride, blazing boards, etc.... we'd get all geeked up and
skateboard to the beach afterward expecting huge sets to be rolling in. it never happened.
that sound you think you hear is the wind. i've heard the huge sets at night (usually in summertime) and in the morning it was flat as a board, as it
had been for days already.....
btw, i don't believe most of what i hear and half of what i see!

Woody...pulled out my video tape copy of 5 Summer Stories two days ago (Friday) and watched it with some dinner guests!! Used to go to PB junior high
to see the latest surf flick and same as you...surf would be flat the next morning (always happened after getting a new board to).
Shari...thanks for the pics! surfing 48 years and still love it, but I just might forgoe a set or two for a Lobster Burrito! Age does funny stuff to
your priorities

believe me, I thank the creator every morning I step out onto the patio to feed the animals...we are blessed to live here and know it! I sure love
watching the kids surf by my bedroom window! After living on my boat for so many years and loving it, this is the next best thing.,,,plus I dont have
to worry about changing zincs or my anchor dragging.
Our antenna is a VHF (2 meter radios), Juan is a radio technician and this high antenna is important for communication up and down the
coast...particularly for the yachting community when they need assistance and info.
shore fishing rocks here and you can catch fish nearly all times of the year, halibut, corvina, yellowfin croaker, perch, calico bass on the cliffs,
and even yellowtail in Oct/Nov...maybe see ya here sometime Capt!

I used to go the the surf movies at the Pier Avenue school in Hermosa Beach, right across from Greg Noll Surfboards. Films like Barefoot Adventure,
Slippery When Wet, back then all narrated by the film maker in person, Bruce Brown. Everybody would clap when Greg Noll in his stripped trunks would
wipe out.

My 16mm surf movie place was Hoover High, on University Drive in San Diego. As soon as the posters for a new movie went up, I would haunt my surf
company buddies, and beg them to let me take a board display for the lobby. They usually let me take a couple of stands and a van full of boards,
which in turn got my friend and I in the door for nothing.
Once the movie started, the die hards sat about 10 rows back, and flipped bottle caps at the screen. Beach balls were for the new kids, a hole in the
screen guarenteed imortality (for a couple of days at least).
Good times! Gone forever :-(24baja - 1-11-2012 at 10:24 PM
Shari, thanks for the lovely photos, I can almost hear the surf! But the photo of the beautiful little girl and he lizard is my favorite, lizards are
amazing creatures. Connieshari - 1-12-2012 at 07:42 AM

here at the beach...their spanish is getting so much better every time they are here.bajafam - 1-13-2012 at 09:10 AM
We had so much fun, Shari....and as usual you catch my girl at her sweetest! It's a sad day today as we pack up from our last night in Baja and head
home to the snow.
*sigh*
Hasta Pronto, Mama Magica!!
