Awesome shot, gracias and welcome to the board!

What an incredible shot!!!! To me the most amazing thing is the Colorado River delta--------it's HUGE!!!! It appears to me to be the dark "fan" that is just above the north end of the SOC between the Salton Sea and the Gulf and has the white sands of the dunes complexes on either side. You also can see the Grand Canyon, tho not very clearly, and the 'green' of the Imperial Valley ag area shows up clearly just above the Colorado River delta "fan".

Boy, would I love to have a blownup version of that pic!!!!

On my PC running windows 7, if you hit control/+ it enlarges the photo with amazing resolution.

Me too. Usually means the link is incorrect - no image at the address. Did anybody get the download link to work?

BajaNomad's link doesn't work for me either.

it worked for me and i have a SAT hookup

DianaT - 1-8-2012 at 08:34 AM

It is beautiful!

For me, both links to the larger map open to a blank page---the one on the site, and BajaNomads??

Ni modo, even small, it is beautiful

KaceyJ - 1-8-2012 at 09:11 AM

Wow , great picture.

Must have been some serious high pressure that day. Looks like a sandstorm from Kino bay on the mainland to a hundred miles offshore of Bahia Asuncion

pacocruz - 1-8-2012 at 09:41 AM

That image is partially corrupted sometimes, I downloaded it and photoshopped it ok, but then could not open it a second time. They will probably fix that.

I had saved one cropped version:

That is quite the dust plume ripping off the mainland, it was a dusty day from Santa Rosalia across to Tortugas.

Barry A. - 1-8-2012 at 10:06 AM

Still could not open the several links provided, except for PacoCruz's which is incredible----------

Many thanks, paco. So much to study----------fun, fun!!!!

Thanks so much for the link pacocruz.

We happened to snap a picture that day while passing through the area marked by the arrow. And I whine that I'm always cleaning cuz it's 'dirty' where we are...
