The once large and slow to open photos have been resized and the web page is now on VivaBaja.com. So, here is the new address for that fun day when we
met Antonio and his family for the first time, at JRBaja's place in La Barca/Rosarito. Doug Means (Baja Nomad), Bernie Swaim (Baja Bernie), & JESSE
was also there... http://vivabaja.com/bajacactus
Here's the first photo:
We met JESSE that day, too!

I think meeting others that love Baja like you do is a big thrill and one of the great treasures of the Baja Nomad forums!pappy - 9-26-2004 at 05:11 PM
cool! sorry to have missed that one.would have enjoyed meeting those folks, in particular Bernie to compliment him on his books-fun and informative!David K - 9-26-2004 at 06:56 PM
That one was just a small gathering for the few of us you saw, invited by Antonio.
Once Antonio met us, then he was comfortable with the first big 'public' event that everyone here was invited to, the Baja Cactus Cultural Fiesta http://community-2.webtv.net/matomi2004/fiesta (this page will soon be moved to VivaBaja.com, as well)David K - 9-27-2004 at 07:28 AM
Lot's of females... but none who are 'Baja Nomads'. They are in the background: Antonio's wife Lorenia, her mom, Doug's lady Michelle, her daughter
Nichole, Jesse's girlfriend, JR's lady Carol, were some of the women there.... Let's get more of them on the Internet! See the 'Go Hector, go' photo
and two of the ladies are there wearing straw hats.
