75 jobs have been on hold. The Board and Ski Park opens tomorrow. After 21 years off the slopes, are these old bones up to it? I suspect that these
new high tech short fat goofy looking skis are going to prove perilously slippery!

We have just about the same over here, after getting my 4X4 truck stuck in the driveway and then getting the 4X4 tractor stuck trying to get it out, I
thought maybe all of that "stuff" I needed in town just might wait. Oh no, not me, after getting both 4X4 vehicles unstuck and the driveway cleared, I
thought, no problem, let’s go get all of that “stuff” that I need, only to find that there are 2 downed trees across the road, along with the
telephone and electrical lines, all within the first ˝ mile… well, maybe we will work with what we have. l hope all is well where you are. JHmotoged - 1-19-2012 at 11:58 PM

No snow here in North Natomas.....but welcomed rain that we haven't had in 43 days.vgabndo - 1-20-2012 at 01:05 PM
My Rozzi 4-S 195's are almost brand new, but after 20 years there appears to be a lot of boot and binding incompatibility to deal with!!
The new to me Soloman's are VERY techie with the bindings mounted to the side of the skis. They're 185's which I'm told are LONG! My Hexcell 185
Firelights were pretty cool, and I'm told these new guys are magic!
Otherwise, as is so common, rain in town today
After 8" of snow that fell straight down, as it warmed up last night and the wind returned, the wash tub sized loads of snow in the old growth timber
over my bedroom would release, one at a time, or in a thunderous roar as hundreds of pounds came down at once. It is the sweet sound of fresh water,
but it made for a long night.
Lots different than surf and coyotes!vgabndo - 1-22-2012 at 03:25 PM
Conditions: 26 degrees wind very light, light dry snow falling on 4" of fresh on a good groomed base.
My bud and me (total age 137 years) skied 5 runs. Back home by 11:00 am tired enough to be a danger to myself. It IS just like riding a bicycle!
OOOO and I LOVE these trick new skis!
HOW ON EARTH AM I GOING TO GET THIS STUPID GRIN OFF MY FACE.
