would like to find a place for two to three people to stay mid April or so for maybe 2-4 weeks - not sure as we would be there for dental
work.....probably closer to a month...thanks for any leads...low budget travelers here and women - stayed near downtown - between there and the water
last time and it was really nice and convenient.. sort of too funky hotel..but could do that again...would like something where we could cook a bit if
possible - safe, clean, quiet, and near downtown and the bay - can be low end but all of the above would be needed...thanks!

The best information on temporary housing in La Paz is to join the La Paz Gringos group.
Their daily newsletter is full of information.
here is their link:
Just ask to be put on their mailing list...no membership required.

Kinda thinking about it...
I'll bet yahoo groups has several La Paz sites. I know I joined some Baja sites a few years ago, but have not received any mail from them in months.

The Baja Western Onion and the La Paz Gringos Yahoo News group are 2 very different things actually.
The BWO is a current events and newsletter type format that's based in Todos Santos although it has some La Paz, Cabo, and East Cape info. You can
either subscribe and receive copies in your email 3 or 4 times/week or read the most current edition online. Full of great local info for the Todos
Santos area. Here's the link to the online version.

The La Paz Gringos Yahoo group is a question and answer format where you can pose a question to the group, although they have a few lists for FAQ's
about La Paz resources. You do have to "join" the group to participate but it's easy to do. You can choose to have all new postings to the site sent
to your email, or (my choice) you can read the latest questions and answers online periodically so your mail box doesn't fill up with stuff you don't
care about.

Neither of these would be my first choices to find current information about rentals. But you could join the La Paz Gringos group and pose the
question to the members about rental resources.

lit would help if you defined what 'low budget means to you...dollar amount?
true low budget places aren't high budget advertisers. best thing is to show up and look around, you'll find something.
make a reservation for Casa Bueno so you have somewhere to lay your heads the first few nights.
taxi drivers are good resources...have one drive you around the area you want, so he knows where, then offer him 200-500 pesos if he finds a place you
rent there.
check the bulletin board at Marina de La Paz.
walk and look.
you can ask on LPG group, again, be specific.
md April sound be an okay month, most of the snowbirds will be going/gone.

low budget meaning perhaps $500. more or less a month..and it is nicer to have a place to land and unpack rather than do that many times but I know it
works well to just be there and have a place come to you also...I thought there might be a bulletin board like this where people post that sort of
thing..something besides the big realtor vacation rental boards..not my thing..
