Todo Santos to Cabo Road conditions

Anyone have input on the road conditions and time frame to get through from one end to the other going and returning?

Need to get to the US Consulate this week for a notary.
Hope it is open and operating.

There are several areas of hardpacked dirt road to navigate, and possibly a stop or two for equipment moving, but generally ok. Plan a full hour between TS and entry to Cabo. My guess is it's the same going and returning:?:

Not necessarily. Could be detours and waits coming that are not there going.

50 minutes from Pescadero to the first Pemex in Cabo. Not a big deal.

Do you know that the Counsolate has moved to the shopping center at the Palmilla in San Jose?... It might be easier to go down the other side through Los Barriles....

No, did not know that.

Knew a new Consulate Office opened, but didn't know where.
And of course the web site has not been updated.

And the other winger is - I have to take a friend to Todo Santos, and so have to go that way instead of the Los Barriles side. DRAT!

And on top of that, I haven't been to that area since 1973 or 4. And then went in a 1955 Cessna 180 from Mazatlan.

Mula...won't be that big a deal. From La Paz to Todos is nice 4 lane. Give yourself an hour to Cabo, construction is annoying but not really bad. Going to Palmilla you bypass downtown Cabo. Probably an hour and a half Todos to Palmilla.

Don't know why the thought of driving in Cabo scares me.
I've been driving and piloting all over Mexico since the 1970's.

It's not really a bypass, you just don't go in! Maybe someone else knows if there are signs telling you where to turn for San Jose. I don't look anymore.

Yes - there are signs and the route through town is good - just pay attention. You might want to use Google map and check out your route.
