San Ignacio --- a bit differently

DianaT - 2-5-2012 at 12:52 PM

It seems like we cannot resist taking more pictures of the mission and the plaza in San Ignacio and they really change very little.
And the same pictures of San Ignacio have been displayed here many times by many people.

Thus, a few pictures from this trip hit the computer and let the computer transform them into something fun and different.

And the palm tree who thinks it is a giant snake.

And when one is in San Ignacio, do visit with Juanita at Casa Leree. As always, we had a great conversation about what is going on in San Ignacio.

Trippy pictures. Crazy to think that church was there when George Washington was cruising around Washinton DC.

Diane, we spoke to the lady who was sweeping out the church in oct. she said she was the only one in the town who cared about the old church anymore. she made nothing spending her time as a "caretaker" - her words.

of course we added to the collection box but we left wondering, WTF! what's REALLY going on?

Thanks everyone!

Motoged--- the program I am using is called Topaz Simplify and it is a plug in program for my Photoshop Elements. It lets you convert to different styles and then adjust them until you like them. The mission is a wood block conversion, the ones in the plaza are watercolor and the palm tree is one they buz. Just fun and I like some of the results. I have not had the program long and continue to learn more about it. Paint by number---yes, I see that now, except they don't look like anything I ever did with a paint by number project---I could never stay in the lines and just made a mess!

Woody, the person who would know what is going on with the lady with whom you spoke would be Juanita at Casa Leree. I know that Juanita is involved in a project on the church property. They are creating a representative botanical garden. I also know people who attend that church on a regular basis. Interesting and now I need to find out!
