okay lets get this started, first who do you think is going to win, Vegas has New England as favorite 3 1/2 points,
I think I will go with the Giants
so what are you having for your Super Bowl party,
we are having chicken wings, Chili, finger sandwiches, and alot of snacks,, cerveza, wine and rum and cokeUdo - 2-5-2012 at 01:44 PM
I'm going with the Gigantes, also.
We are having home made pizza, and wash it down with Coroas. I'll post a photo a little later today. The Big Green Egg will get fired-up at about 2:15Cypress - 2-5-2012 at 01:51 PM
desertcpl, Could care less about who wins, wish I did. Just another excuse for a party, and that's a good thing. I'll enjoy.Skipjack Joe - 2-5-2012 at 01:53 PM
As a 49er fan I'm looking forward to seeing the giants have their a$$es kicked good and hard.desertcpl - 2-5-2012 at 01:53 PM
well truth be known we would have wanted the Chargers to be playing today
but party is on, having family over and I am sure a good timegoldhuntress - 2-5-2012 at 01:57 PM
We are having chessey black bean dip/guac/salsa and chips, vegges and dip, salami, chicken, salad, lots of snacks basically. Margaritas and Pacificos
to drink. I could care less who wins as long as each quarter ends with Patriots 8 - Giants 6 woody with a view - 2-5-2012 at 01:58 PM
i have 8 $5 squares on the score at the end of each quarter. $1000 total payout!
i hope brady gets his legs broke. same goes for manning. after that i'd rather see the giants take it, but i really don't care.DENNIS - 2-5-2012 at 01:59 PM
It doesn't matter who wins. It's the seven mil per minute commercials and Madonna that really counts. Skipjack Joe - 2-5-2012 at 02:05 PM
Right. Everyone is worried she'll have an 'accident'.desertcpl - 2-5-2012 at 02:06 PM

Pompano - 2-5-2012 at 02:21 PM
Ho-hum.
Pretty boring afternoon if the Vikings are not playing...
...but will chuckle a bit when the ..what's the name of that team..oh, yeah..the Charters-Chuggers?...get their butts kicked by the Patriots.
Disclaimer: Ah..I 'could' switch allegiance in an instant. It all depends on who's buying at the bar.
Go Patriots/Chargers/Patriots/Chargers!!
Giants? Naw...no such team.
Ana's Santispac, Baja Sur!!
Be There....or be Square! (okay, I dated myself there a bit..)
Cold draft beer and hot 'n spicy chicken wings are on my menu.

Some of the Superbowl 2012 commercials are already on the intertubes:
Ateo - 2-5-2012 at 02:30 PM
Ever thought about how football game scores and the outcomes would be if the game was only 30 minutes? Or 1 hour and 30 minutes? Or 2 hours? I bet
there'd be a different winner for each of the above periods of time. We just happen to base this game on another totally arbitrary designation of
time - 60 minutes.
Anyways, I hate both of these teams, but I really hate Eli for nothing other than petty resentments after what he did to SD on draft day.
I'm going with the Patriots.Woooosh - 2-5-2012 at 02:48 PM
I love the commercials, tolerate the pre-game, enjoy the actual game and hope to skip the half-time show.
Me too!

Truth be known the only reason I would have any interest in any professional football game is if the Chargers were playing...
And lost.David K - 2-5-2012 at 04:40 PM

Yah, that's pretty close to my thoughts... I am watching the game right now... and Eli was just sacked a second time! I think I would like the Giants
to win (for a change)... but don't care either way.
Hey, that Audi LED headlight/ vampire ad was pretty good!goldhuntress - 2-5-2012 at 05:48 PM
So far I like the cars.com commercial, lol.DENNIS - 2-5-2012 at 06:25 PM
WOW......I'm not a big Madonna fan, but that was some half time production.Curt63 - 2-5-2012 at 06:29 PM
Madonna
Thats HOT!vgabndo - 2-5-2012 at 06:48 PM
I remember reading somewhere a long time ago, and I thought it intriguing, that when the SB really got global, each time a pass trickled off the
fingertips of a receiver in the end zone, more humans experienced a simultaneous emotion (one way or the other), than had ever occurred before.
I also remember, I think in Louisville KY, that the city engineers failed to predict the volume of water that would be flushed down the toilets 90
seconds after half time, and the resulting vacuum in a big supply line collapsed it!
I didn't fact-check the second one!
I'm not watching, but its a good day to stay inside. There has to be a reason for the crazy police presence out on the streets.
Best Superbowl commercial
Curt63 - 2-5-2012 at 06:49 PM
Its not over yet, but so far the Acura commercials (Vampire Party and Seinfeld/Leno are my favorites
[Edited on 2-6-2012 by Curt63]Curt63 - 2-5-2012 at 06:52 PM
Doritos commercials were the best so far. Especially the one with the kid that gets catapolted by the lady in the wheelchair. NancyCurt63 - 2-5-2012 at 07:22 PM
How about the We Go dog?David K - 2-5-2012 at 07:53 PM
GIANTS WIN 21-17... a really great, close game to watch!Ateo - 2-5-2012 at 08:08 PM
I won cuz I hate both teams! BajaBlanca - 2-5-2012 at 09:19 PM
we ended up back here in la paz in time to watch the last 5 minutes of the game in the restaurant we ate at. I admit we didn't even remember it was
on and not ony that = we had to look to see who was playing LOL
the dog and vw commercial was excellent ...DavidE - 2-6-2012 at 03:13 AM
I'm going to be in central America and I guess I won;t be able to watch football on internet streaming video. No satellite or cable down there.
T'was an entertaining game, I just wish the 49'ers could have played the part of the New York Giants.BajaDove - 2-6-2012 at 07:54 AM
The last Giants' touchdown should make the record for funniest play in SB history.SFandH - 2-6-2012 at 08:08 AM

That's true. It could have only been better if one of the Patriots had pushed the ball carrier into the end zone, which I think they were prepared to
do.
The commercial that caught my eye was for this car. I guess it's a reality. Now there's a baja cruiser!! Watch out for the speed bumps.

Udo, did you really put BAIT on your pizza?tumble:Udo - 2-7-2012 at 04:44 PM
Yes, but the bait was in a can, and they were real Italian ones. I stopped at SORRENTO's market in Culver City to buy them. There is no
substitute for these.
They come in a red can that you still have to use a can opener with.
They really make the pizza stand out!

Three couples over... four slabs of wonderfully smoke pork back ribs! Lots of beer. Was a lot of fun, and loved the commercials.
