The west swell was 11' a couple days ago, then calmed down to around 9.5' yesterday which was ideal for the local surfers to catch waves at the cove
beside our house. The water temps are in the low to mid 60's so the kids were just in shorts! Supposed to be back up to 11' tomorrow...woo hoo!

that's a cool thing about the central pacific coast in the winter...it's like summer! There is gonna be a pretty good swell for the next while
too...and no worries about giving away a secret spot! The kids are loving being able to walk 5 minutes to the break!vgabndo - 2-11-2012 at 06:28 PM
The water looks easy otherwise, could someone still launch a small boat on the beach side? Just curious if Stan could get out in these conditions?shari - 2-11-2012 at 08:47 PM
the bay is protected from the west swell and so is pretty calm...launch away amigos. Tomorrow promises more thundering waves...wahooo.KaceyJ - 2-11-2012 at 09:20 PM

Well,
Kinda looks like Thomas Jefferson too,
But I'll go with Neptune if it makes you happy
Love the little offshore steam coming off that break
