Happy Birthday to a true legend. Here's a little memento from a stopover 10 years ago (the leopard print ones are mine)...

I've wondered that myself...but probably best to not know.

I saw him a couple days ago and other than being a bit under the weather with some flu virus he was okay. In another thread someone reported he was in need, he's fine. He's driving his truck around no problems and is peeed because while he was gone his caretaker fill-in took the battery out of Pontiac...he'll be at the SF 250 in 3 weeks.

I wish there was some way to petition a cartographer to have "Coco's Corner " affixed to a map. For Coco this would be priceless.

boe4fun - 2-13-2012 at 07:13 PM

The AAA map of Baja CA. does have "Coco's Corner" on it.

How many maps would you like to see with 'Coco's Corner' on it? Here are a couple:

We'll be going through around March 24th. I'd like to bring him something. Does anyone know what he might be able to use?

David K - 2-24-2012 at 06:50 PM

Fresh fruit and veggies are always appreciated! Canned would be the next best choice.

how about some Playboy Mag

TMW - 2-26-2012 at 11:02 AM

I've got the Sports Illustrated 2012 swim suit edition. Not sure I want to part with it but for Coco maybe.

Sweetwater - 1-28-2013 at 11:03 AM

Has anyone heard from Coco in the past week?

I'd like to head his direction next month, maybe catch him on his birthday.....

TMW - 1-28-2013 at 12:22 PM

I saw him over new years and he told me he had another eye appointment but I forgot if it was the end of Jan. or first of Feb. Wouldn't hurt to stop by anyways to make sure things are OK.

David K - 1-28-2013 at 01:47 PM

A note... this thread started almost a year ago, so Coco will be 76 in 2013!

Among the things I can mention in polite company . . . . fried chicken. My wife and I are always talking about going down and cooking him up some!

Useful tools . . . I helped him bust his lug wrench once (his last) while trying to change a wheel on his truck. I think the tools-of-the-trade of a shade-tree mechanic would be appreciated: impact-driver, cheater-bar, better wrenches/sockets/screwdrivers than he has now.

He has always appreciated medical supplies like gauze/telfa pads, antibiotic ointment, cortisone cream, cohesive wrap and assorted bandages.

Otherwise, I think he has all he wants or needs. I think he's a lucky man. Of course, he would argue with this assertion . . .

bajaponderosa - 1-30-2013 at 10:41 AM

Coco was at our campo 2 weeks ago and asked if anyone was heading his way could they bring him a couple of large bags of dry cat food for his kitties. He can only find small bags in San Felipe.
