OOoopps?! We're headed over to Cabo Pulmo for some adventure. Anyone have any recomendations for a rental property or casita ?? I have looked over
online the Papagallo and Reinholdt rentals--any special place you have stayed, Amigos? Gracias. Tio

Casa El Encanto is a cool place. Baja Bungalows, right across the road, is also a good option.

Great trip over to Cabo Pulmo last Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We stayed at Baja Bungalows and had a great time on the beaches. It was warm and
beautiful compared to the strong winds back on the Pacific! $45 boat excursion to snorkel, whale watch and visit a small sea lion area. The
Bungalows was quiet and comodo with the 2bdr lower house renting for $95 a nite .Nice people in a very friendly, small pueblo!

ooooh that sound so enticing tio...dang chilly over here these days! Was it $45 a person for that snorkel trip, how many people on board? Do you get
the preserve bracelet too?

Cabo Pulmo is a Marine Sanctuary and you must pay for the Preserve activities and wear bracelet, included in the $45 dollars, 4 person minimum
onboard. Dive Shops and pangas at the central launch area and posters regarding the large hotel project and their negative effects on the area ie
coral reef! So very small but everyone recycling and keeping things clean. Guardaparque panga is there to watch over water activities. Clear and
clean water and beaches! Beautiful esp if the wind is not blowing. Tio

The guardaparque panga is often in the water and on patrol. Not much in the way of pirate activities in the park. Outside the park boundaries is
another matter. There are still gill netters and pistoleros etc. Some of the gill netters are even legal operators with permits. But it's not uncommon
to see piratas setting nets along the beaches.

Snorkeled with one of the outfitters in Oct. Fun trip, offshore a bit to see a large school (several hundred?) of big eye jacks (2-3 ft) circling in
maybe 60 ft of water. Great fun to watch, they were still swirling when we left them. Went to the seal area but the seals didn't want to come out
and play. Then went inshore and snorkeled the reefs near los arbollitos and swam with a couple of turtles. All in all a good trip, the only
disconcerting thing was that all snorkelers are required to wear a life jacket. I am sure this is to protect the marine environment, but I for one
can dive while snorkeling and not touch anything. I understand this rule is well enforced on the tour operator boats, and does not seem to be
enforced on shore snorkelers at Los Arbolitos.

Vista Sea Sport does trips in the park also. I wonder if they require life jackets also?
