JR,
The doctor says that Aaron is doing well. She looked him over pretty good but it is necessary to run many more tests, some that they did yesterday and
others this coming Friday... The results, probably a week after that. The Doctor charged a visit fee of 1,000 pesos and more tests that are very
expensive. I need a bit more money, but the doctor is a very good doctor. The best here in La Paz. Also will need more for the tests. She says that
the operation should not have a lot of complications because they can do it with Lasers or something like that. It is very expensive, but has very
good results afterwards. I will write you and talk to you more about the diagnosis (or analysis).
Thank you very much,
Sergio Rochin
piezas yo aviso luego muchas gracias sergio rochin
The last part of the Spanish version is talking about some old printers I took down there that don't seem to be needed.
Kinda like my girlfriend says;
"Don't bring your broken old junk around here:"lol:
She also told me that about all the Titanic Props before the movie became popular.
Sergio is setting up a bank account Friday so we can transfer funds directly to the Rochins in La Paz from Rosarito. The Mexican banks hold money
for 9 days when it is transfered from an account in the states from what I can find out.
When I know more of what is needed, I will post on here but so far, the news sounds really good, except for the costs as always.
Anyone interested in helping please u2u or email jrbaja@hotmail.com Muchas gracias J.R and the Rochin Family

Update
Natalie Ann - 9-30-2004 at 10:26 AM
I post this from Los Barriles at Veronica's on my way to the plane and home. Bedo and I visited with the Rochin family last night and here is the
update as written by Bedo - next news update this weekend:
Hola JR
You ALMOST got it right:
yes, they did see the doctor BUT....... a report and prognosis and diagnosis will be tomorrow when the Rochin's and i return to La Paz to confer with
her and the find out her recommendations. And yes, If and when more tests or consultations are necessary they will need more $$$$
I DO wish that you would check in with me, contact me before you make public statements. I AM the one who is in CONSTANT contact and communication
with them.
I have NO idea why you seem to be ignoring me in this whole process.
I DO exist.
I am in constant daily contact and i AM part of the family.
This is rather irritating and not beneficial to a smooth working relationship.
Bedo
Well folks
jrbaja - 9-30-2004 at 10:42 AM
all I can do is post what I receive. I am posting directly what the family sends me and Bedo as well when it is of any importance.
Not sure what the last discrepancy was about but here they go again.
I was asked to help by Bedo (who is a neighbor) and the Rochin family who I lease my land from. I am trying.
But, except for the communications from the Rochin family themselves, there is nothing but turmoil from the gringos including natalie posting
personal email messages from bedo to me.
Let's just help Aaron and knock off the whining! Unless of course you have a point to make. And that would be ?

R.D.Mercer - 9-30-2004 at 07:12 PM
I really what to help if need be, but things keep getting more confusing. Nat ann. that last post was lower than a low blow. Do you consider JR's
actions something less than pure. Why the attack? Please clear up this mess so we can get down to what is important, a childs health, and people
will to help
Natalie Ann - 9-30-2004 at 07:38 PM
Wasn't meant to be a low blow or anything else.... I did not read thread.... was checking my personal email and received the above post from Bedo, who
asked that I log on Nomads and post for her as she's not a member. ... so I did. My intro on it was simply to say I'd visited the family again.
That's it.... no drama.... Bedo asked me to post next a.m. on my way out of town.
And, BTW, I did leave more dinero so that she might drive the family to La Paz and back for Friday's consult. I have no idea what's the big argument
on this.... but I've given money twice and seen the family a few times this visit and now I'm back home and wish to be left out of the rest..... no
remarks necessary.
I am sincere about helping Aaron.
jrbaja - 9-30-2004 at 07:49 PM
I post what Aarons brother sends me and any other pertinent information. I could give a rats arse about credit as most of you know.
I am trying to help a little boy whom I care about, period.
The three gringos making the commotion on my posts trying to help Aaron do basically nothing. Ever.
And they waited a week to say anything about helping rather than doing something about in the first place.
I am not family ! I keep hearing about being family, over and over again from some of these people. And "we were just with "the family" last night.
Congratulations family members, your brother needs some help.
If I were you, I would concentrate on helping him rather than trying to prove how "close" you are to the "family" and whining about what the MANY
others are actually "doing" to help.
That sure was a low blow
Keri - 9-30-2004 at 08:09 PM
and I'd say if this person wishes to post again let them either register or post annon. Don't do their dirty work for them. If they have a bone to
pick with JR it should be done with him direct not in a public forum. Cowards hide behind someone elses skirt. Sure takes the wind out of the sails
as far a wanting to help this person. No one wants to get in a pi**ing match with someone especially over the internet. k
What the heck...
Herb - 9-30-2004 at 11:12 PM
I'll gladly jump into any peeing match with gasoline drawers on!
Enthusiasm about trying to help someone is nothing to complain about. JR is all about giving and helping and he will always be enthusiastic and try to
share so that we all will feel a part of what is going on. The more information from the more people, the better. The kicker is that the iinformation
in the e-mail from the brother and the "official" information do not really differ at all.
Bottom line is, I have helped. I will continue to help regardless of who is upset about what because it is the boy and his well being that matter to
me. I encourage all to focus on the same...
Natalie Ann - 10-1-2004 at 07:37 AM
This morning, upon rereading the post sent to me which I then posted upon request of sender, I agree I should not have posted it and I apologize to
members.
However, I would like to get one thing stratight..... while all you are chewing the fat about what might or might not be done to help Aaron's family
pay for medical bills, the only money received for their use has been from another member and myself. This paid for the first doctor visit and all
tests, and now we've again donated enough to pay for their transportation to the (free) analysis of Monday's tests as well as the additional test the
doctor wants run today - all of which has been quite expensive. I was sadly disappointed to receive a call, upon my return home, which said that NO
MONEY from other Nomads members had been made available for this visit or for future treatment. So why no quit hitting on me and take the advice of
Hose A..... send in a mere $5 apiece and there might eventually be enough to actually help out.

bajaloco - 10-1-2004 at 08:17 AM
Natalie Ann... If someone would make available a way to donate, I'm sure more people would be glad to help. Seems to me you are going about this the
wrong way.
A few facts
Tucker - 10-1-2004 at 10:02 AM
A few facts:
1. Bedo does have a telephone, she has been the linch-pin of this operation.
2. The only assistance, both financial and physical, so far has been from the "three whineing gringos". No other assistance from any other source has
been forthcoming. Just this morning Sergio Rochin tapped my wallet for the last time for a while. I'm not rich by any means.
3. I wont participate in the drama and name-calling, I think it detracts from the objective.
Gracias HoseA
jrbaja - 10-1-2004 at 10:15 AM
After repeating I decided I shouldn't post in anger.
I have been talking to Sergio for the last 1/2 hour through MSN Messenger. I am not bragging, pretending I am family, saying they like me better or
any of that crap.
Sergio just has access to internet on a daily basis through his school so we talk frequently. He is aware of these negative posts.
What is going on is he will start a bank account on Monday at Banamex. The money that has been sent will be deposited in the Rochin account. I can
post all your names and amounts of donations if any of you wish but I assumed that's why it was being done discreetly. Except by some that is.
Nevertheless, until we hear the outcome and diagnosis from the doctor, I have told everyone to hold off on the donations.
The money that has been sent will go to their travel and to pay for the testing
needed. And, thank you everyone!
When we hear what is needed to fix this little guy, I will ask again for your help. That should be in about a week I hope. (Mexico!)
Then, you can either contact me through u2u or perhaps send your contributions to tucker, natalie or bedo, if she can remember her check book and
account number.
Pathetic!
I've been talking
jrbaja - 10-1-2004 at 10:31 AM
to Sergio since around 8:00 this morning on MSN Messenger. Interesting!
And since you are not rich, I suggest you give some serious thought as to how this is all going to be paid for other than gas money and a few
thousand pesos that the 3 whining gringos have contributed.
It is good that you have helped although you seem to be whining again about giving them money.
I am trying to look a little farther down the road when the expenses start building up for surgery or whatever is necessary. I don't expect you to
understand that.
As far as Bedo being the "kingpin", whatever. How long has she had the phone tucker ? And she apologized through email for not keeping money on it
when I was cut off. And I am supposed to waste money checking in with her before I post what the family has to say on the internet? You guys are
really something!
Nevertheless, bedo asked me to post all this on the internet before the family did. (I saw her first when I was down there).
I posted asking for help ************

What can the rest of us do to help?
So far, so good.
jrbaja - 10-1-2004 at 06:34 PM
I will be depositing the donations, (thank you everyone) into the Rochin Banamex account Monday or Tuesday morning. I have discussed this with
Sergio.
This should get them through the week of testing, being in La Paz, and gas for however they are getting there.
As soon as I hear what is needed I will ask for all of your help if necessary.
The best news I have heard today is that some dear friends son has gone through something similar and grew out of it. This to me is encouraging
news as well as hearing the doctor talk about lazer surgery. ( on a side note, my brother asked about hand cranked lazers)
At this point in time, the family is happy with what's going on and they like the doctora. Because of tuckers and natalies financial donations, they
are making progress and have been able to get him looked at.
Apparently, bedo is driving the family to La Paz or something. So far, she hasn't returned any of my emails so not exactly sure of what is going on
with her but through Sergio and bedo, when she replies, I will keep everyone informed.
One of the humans on here has donated a cell phone to whoever needs it in the family. We think that Aaron could use it to call his family members
if he gets stuck in the hospital.
Perhaps it will help !!!
