This trip was extra special because my wife hadn't been to San Quintin in over 6 years. She work's for Hilton and it is difficult for her to take time
off. The drive was uneventful as usual except for Louis and Leah fighting or arguing about anything, and then my wife wanting to stop everywhere to
eat. We also had with us my wife's nephew from Sinaloa wanting to hear that "thump thump tuba" banda music (which I hate). I felt like Chevy Chase in
the movie "Vacation". All's that was missing was someones dead grandma on the roof of my car. I met up with "ATEO" at Baja Jardines Friday night and
staying in the room next door at "Don Eddies" was "SurfDoc". The only event that kinda soured my days were these two fellas in room 8 at "Don Eddies".
My step-son, my wife's nephew, and myself were outside our room at around midnight hammering a few "gustos" and these two clowns come staggering back
to their room and they proceeded to make racial innuendos, and looking at us and laughing. Now I'm a peaceful individual and a former Marine, but had
I not been in the presence of my step-son, my wife's nephew, and my wife and little one's sleeping inside, I would have went over and "got some". As
it turn's out, as they were going into their room one of them removed his shoes and placed them outside the door. I yelled over to him "Hey
sweetheart, if you leave those shoes outside I'm gonna be wearing them in the morning and I don't think you're man enough to take them back". Needless
to say he took his shoes inside and not a peep was heard from them again.
So, here are a few of the photo's that I took as best I could. I have an awesome camera with a hundred different settings that I don't know how to
use, nor do I care to know. Oh yeah, I stopped by Ron "BajaGringo's" place but he wasn't home so I took a couple shot's of his abalone
operation.....friggin' impressive.

Too bad you missed BajaGringo. I am sure he would have enjoyed your visit. He has been hard at work with the abalone project with Reyes. We are
thinking about visiting in late Spring... But, it is the long drive that just kills it for me and the little ones. But, once we are there it is
paradise. Last time we were there it was lobsters galore!!! I think I'll wait for the abalones to be nice and fat to visit . Nice pictures!!!!

Great pics, and story!
We must have just missed each other by a day or two. We were at the abalone project on the 17th, and caught Ron for a short visit. I think we even
were at the same beaches.
We stayed at Jardines, ate dinner at the Old Mill, and drove the beach road to the north of Ron's place as far as the salt ponds before heading back
toward the asphalt.
I think that someday I'm going to end up living in that area, just not sure exactly where yet.

Cool pictures. Those fellas in room 8 sound like losers. Good for you calling him "sweetheart" and him pullin the shoes inside. I saw surfdoc
driving down. I don't know him but I saw that truck with the custom license plate somewhere on the drive down. Small world.
