Looking to travel down the peninsula w/ 1-2 other vehicles. Have a small R.V. and 1 well-trained dog. Plans can be very flexible after March 12th
and through April 8th. I'm fine to travel part-way with one group and be adopted into another along the way.
Destination: Wherever the Baja Gods take me. - Mulege? Baja Conception? Los Barilles? Cabo? Maybe you know some sleepy village that's just awesome.??
Have my FMM and frequent experience driving in Baja, but only one trip so far in my 22' R.V. - Wouldn't mind staying at a couple of R.V. parks along
the way, just to learn the ropes in that arena.

good luck, Sue! if it was me i'd just hit the ground running. too many itineraries make for a stressful trip. don't trip on all the stuff that won't
happen! get your rear in gear and report back on all the cool stuff that did happen.....

I was just thinking as a single gal it it might be safer to travel with others...I go down to my place near Ensenada alone all the time, but do you
think I'd be okay on the road all the way south playing it solo?

LilSue, go to ontheroadin.com to get information and maps that will help you in your travels. Note, just make sure you get off the road when driving
by 4:30pm, so you do not have to risk traveling at night trying to miss horses,cows,dogs,sheep and trucks/cars traveling without lights. Give

When you say RV Parks, are you looking for hook-ups or are you set to dry camp ?
There are many more places to dry camp if you have a solar panel or small generator.

Stop in Mulege at Cuesta Real RV Park and Hotel, km 132 on Mex 1. You can walk to town, 20 minutes, walk to the Sea of Cortez and there is always a
friendly group staying here. Great place to spend a day relaxing or a week exploring the area. Safe and very social!

I just drove down with my son and I would not hesitate to drive alone. It is so safe and there are great people all along the way!
We spent 2 nights at Kiki's and enjoyed seeing the gang and showing Ben that wonderful town!
Then 2 nights in BOLA, one night at at Costa del Sol and one at Guillermo's. We were not camping because we drove my jeep down. Bob and I camped at
Daggett's once and it was great!
On to Mulege for 2 nights at Cuesta Real..they have rv spots and it's a great place. Would have liked to have stayed at Buenaventura south at Bay of
Concepcion but Ben wanted to watch the super bowl in town.
Straight to Cabo from there... We were on a schedule!

South of Ensenada at Colonia V. Guerrero is Posada Don Diego R.V. Park with restaurant. The owner is a Nomad 'Irene'... It is a mile or so west of the
highway... the turn off is south side of town at the top of a rise, before the propane plant.
The next R.V. park south is Los Olivos, next to Baja Jardines Restaurant and Motel, south of Lazaro Card##as ('San Quintin')... just south of where
the highway narrows and becomes Km. 0. A mile to the west of the highway.
Others as you continue south: Cielito Lindo and El Pabellon south of San Quintin bay near the beach, Sinahi Motel and R.V. park in El Rosario...
Rancho Santa Ynez has a big area for overnight parking 3/4 a mile off the highway... on a paved side road a mile south of Catavņa.
Next stop would be Bahia de los Angeles with several R.V. parks (camp grounds).. It is 41 paved miles east from Highway 1, about 60 miles south of

Top your gas tank in El Rosario... next Pemex stations at Bahia de los Angeles or Villa Jesus Maria. Gas sold from cans at Cataviņa, 76 miles south of
El Rosario.

I'm in San Felipe right now and plan to take the old highway south until it reconnects with HWY 1. From what I understand the last 50 miles give or
take is quasi rough dirt road but still doable. From there I'm crossing to the other side of the coast and just zig zagging my way south. I'm staying

4-Runner, but I don't want to beat the crap outta my RV down the long washboard road.
