windgrrl,

Here's the route I would take.

94 west to 125 north to 52 west to 15 north to 58 west into Bakersfield.

Be sure to stop at Domingo's in Boron for a very good Mexican meal. Well, having just been in Mexico you could try it next time going south.:lol::lol:

We have been getting some crazy weather here in Bakersfield the last few days. Be sure to check the weather before you go through the mountain pass (Tehachapi or Gorman if you decide to take the 5). But, as an added stop coming down the 58 (after Caliente) you can stop at Murray Farms. It is the Red Barn on your right side. You can sample all of their goodies (Fresh fruit, etc.) Plenty of RV parking too.

same as what tripledigitken posted except I'd take the 395 cutoff right after you get over Cajon pass. It takes you to the 58 intersection at 4 corners where you just turn left and continue on to Boron, etc. Have a good trip and enjoy the streets of Bakersfield.

This is the route I used during the time I lived in Fresno, to avoid L.A. when going to San Diego.

Remember, I am in the irrigation business... half of the drip manufacturers are in Fresno! We lived near Blackstone and Sierra (on Escalon) when I worked for Agrifim.
