My buddies and I are traveling to Gonzaga Bay and staying at Alfonsinas Sat and Sun night in May 2012. Interested in any info on the road down from
San Felipe?
Will I see Federales?
How bad is the road. I am driving a full size pickup
Any info on how to arrange fishing and snorkeling would be helpful ?
What is the standard cost for fishing and do we need our own equipment. Again ANY info would be helpful. Thanks to anyone who replies

You will be stopped at at least two military checkpoints (31 miles north of San Felipe and between Papa Fernandez' and Alfonsina's roads, Gonzaga
Bay). Federal highway patrol may be seen between Mexicali and San Felipe.
Pavement is only a dozen miles from Alfonsina's road now.
There are Gonzaga people here who might have the panga fishing details.

You can indeed find someone to take you out.....Papa Fernanda Camp has that for sure www.papafernandez.com/ What is the standard cost for fishing and do we need our own equipment....$70.00 per two ...... and ALWAYS take your own
gear.
The road is just fine to get there.
Punta Final ...beyond Snoopy.....has a area of excellent scuba. Good primitive campsite and a airport to fly in.
This recent post has some good info for you to read.
