Campsite with Wifi in San Felipe

Wanderglobe - 3-2-2012 at 01:00 PM

Hey folks,

I'm currently parked at Pete's Camp in San Felipe but the wifi does not extend to the camping area on the beach. I have work to do and don't really want to sit in the restaurant all day so I was wondering if someone could recommend a reasonably priced ($20 or less) camp site in the area. I'm in a '73 VW bus, not an RV, and only really need electricity and wifi. I also don't need to be in town as you can probably tell by being at Pete's Camp 10 km's outside of town. Thanks in advance.

Depending how much time you want to stay
online, in town there are several places with free
internet, Bar Miramar, I have sat outside and
used it, I think Rice and Beans/Rosita has it.
As for campsites no. of SF, I don't know

Thanks Sancho. I'm looking at staying for a day or two. I need to do a lot of research before I leave here so I just need a place to camp where I can work in my vehicle as opposed to hanging out in the bar or restaurant. Thanks for the reply.

I believe Ruben's camp, just north of the lighthouse has wifi.
While you are at it, get one of their cocolocos...you'll feel like you were wifi'd!

Try Kiki's just beside Reubens....

Did you go into the Paraiso restaurant/bar and asked for the password? If so......:

El Dorado Ranch's La Palapa.......... La Ventana del Mar golf course's Pavillion Restaurant............ Playa de Oro's Beach Grill. In town, Fandango's has free wireless access (in the south part of downtown San Felipe across from Remax and next to The Wash Tub). Kiki's should have it.

Please your kidding!

You can stay in my driveway on the cliff overlooking the beach, does $100 a day work for you?

Seriosly, I have used. Pete's many times while having a c-cktail or 2

Tough it out and sit on the patio and love the fact that you have the best of oth worlds, that's the part about Mexico that I awesome.

Wanderglobe - 3-2-2012 at 07:15 PM

Thanks for all the replies. I'll look into kiki's or somewhere in town. For those with the snarky remarks about being in San Felipe and not wanting to sit in a bar all day, well, the tab tends to add up after awhile and really, all my work equipment (cameras, hard drives, etc) are located in the bus. I'm not complaining, I'm just looking for something a little more convenient so that I can still be working at 2AM if I choose to.

At Marcos (I think) right across the road from Kiki's. $20 a night or 250 pesos. Speedy wifi and full hookups. It's not right on the beach but the beach is across the road. Clean bathrooms but I haven't seen the showers yet. Much better than Pete's. It's a 15 minute walk from downtown and offers more bang for your buck. All my opinion of course.
