WHAT ARE THE BEST TACOS (GRILL AND PASTOR) IN ENSENADA?

"I’m going to Ensenada in April, and want to eat some good tacos, steak and pastor, any recommendations? I heard a Tizoncito taqueria from Mexico City open in Ensenada, and that’s probably my first stop."

A Little Different

Try Marco Antonio's, a small little place on Rayon, between 4th and 5th.

Grilled salmon and grilled tuna are just two of the specialties. Also the Breaded or nekked shrimp in special sauce are outstanding

Best tacos, hands down, is El Poblano across the street and a bit north of the Maneadero clinic..I try to watch the calories by telling them "NO mayo" cause they must put 400 calories worth on the bread to grill the bolillo for the torta carne asada, of course the meat is juicy and flavorful enough you don't notice the difference...and the cebollitas are always a good addition as well.

Been to El Poblano a number of times, and would heartily recommend it.

But, never really considered it to be an Ensenada option. For those of us who travel up and down the peninsula, it's a welcome respite. But, I really don't see someone living in Ensenada proper driving down to there.

Maybe those Rancho Packard guys drive out to the main highway.....

There's more than one. Another is on the highway in Chapultepec....near the Estero Beach turn-off. [I think, anyway. It's up there somewhere. I see it all the time, but don't pay much attention to it]
I mean....there's like thirty thousand Taco Shops in and around Ensenada so finding the "best" would be a daunting task.
And......it's like the old axiom...."Never go grocery shopping when you're hungry." Same thing when looking for the "best" Taco Shop.

Alot closer..

When you drive into Ensenada through the 10th street entrance and avoid the center of town, you will come to the 20th of November street, make a left, on your immediate left after Auto Zone on the corner, there is a taco stand, which is reputed to be the best taco stand in Ensenada by the locals.. next to that is a Michoacan for great fruit salads, and across the street at night they have hot dogs and Thrifty ice cream...

I will check this place out Bajaguy when I'm down there in April. I'll keep in mind the special sauce. Thank you!

Ensenada Dr. second post about the taco stand by the auto
parts store has the thumbs up from a few of my friends.
My brothers dentist in Ensenada recommened the place. It is always quite crowded
They even have a useable, and relatively clean bathroom.(at least at the time that I checked it out)
The paleteria next door is good too
Tacos El Trailero in the north end of town on the main road seems to do a brisk business.

Correction

We were in Ensenada last weekend and had lunch at El Trailero. OMG... they had Birrira Tacos con Queso! They were unbelievable. We ate a lot of these wonderful tacos! Highly recommend trying these tacos.

And the grilled chile's, awesome tasting and with a serious bite.
But, that place has probably changed hands over and over since then if it is even there anymore.

Hey Soulpatch, it's name is Taqueria Mexico Lindo. It's still there, still family run, still very good and they still proudly pass out the grilled chiles to patrons. I love that place. Dang I'm hungry.

I wish I had a photo of these tacos to show you, but I had left my camera at the place we were staying that day.

El Trailero by far!
