Santa Rosalia Notary

adventureheart - 3-13-2012 at 01:27 PM

Hi all,

Looking for a notario in Santa Rosalia. I checked a government listing of notarios for BCS, but the email they have listed for the agent in Santa Rosalia gets returned to me as "undeliverable".

I don't need anything complicated like real estate or corporation work - I just need a notary's stamp on some documents.

Any recommendations and how to contact them - preferably email since our phone doesn't work..

Thanks!

I was just there two weeks ago. He is Lic. Laurence Arballo Quinonez, Notario Publico Suplente No. 20.
Address: Calle Alvaro Obegon s/n Planta Alta Col. Centro, c.p.23920 Santa Rosalia, Baja California Sur
Tel/fax 615 15-2-14-70

I took this information right off of the receipt I got while there. There is no email address and it appears that the phone and fax share the same line.

If you go into town, it is on the main street that intersects with Calle 6. It is on the left side of the street going west, right near the two banks. Look up. There is a sign that overhangs the sidewalk and it says "notario #20". You enter a vacant downstairs room from the corner entrance. Walk across the room and there is a very narrow stairway. At the top of the stairs you turn left and the door is right there.

Good Luck!

Rumor is that SR is getting a new Notary so I think there will probable be delays in service. But to just get a document registered it may be an easy task.
:?:
I was told that I'll have to wait for the new Notary to finish the property extension to my fido.

Good luck, Amigo. Lots of good advise. I Love your quote at the bottom as most of my friends and myself are skidding in sideways and only hope for a good landing!:wow::bounce: Tio

There are two notaries in Santa Rosalia. Guiellermo Santillan office, Notary number 20 is still active, even though Guillermo is now the president of Santa Rosalia and the older guy who Toneart mentioned. My reccomendation would be to go with Guillermo's office. You might want to talk to Julieta who speaks very good english and she can get you the right information. 044-615-104-6266 or if you are calling from the US 011-52-1-615-104-6266

Yup.

Both Guillermo and Julieta have done excellent, dependable, timely work for me.
Good folks.

Best news is that Mulege is going to have their own Notary

akmaxx - 3-13-2012 at 10:23 PM

Rumor is that Mulege will have an extension of the St. Rosalia office next month - that means fewer trips to St. Rosalia for wills, land transfers, witnessing, translation, etc, etc.

Details of where and when to follow.
