New Nomad Amigos!

Over the years we have met some really amazing folks through this board. Last night over dinner and live music, we were commenting on how Nomads has brought many of us together and I just wanna say thanks to Doug for providing this wonderful opportunity to forge new friendships.

Our most recent amigos are David E who will be spending some time in Asuncion and has a lot of great skills and expertise to offer everyone....welcome David! I sure look forward to eating your veggies!

And Baja Amy & her husband Alan graced our patio the last few days and enriched our lives with music and great conversation. While we didn't solve all the world's problems, we sure gave it our best shot!

Amy is an amazing woman who has a passion for baja history and medieval instruments. She plays the harp and several other instruments and brought a Psaltery with her to play for the vaquero guides on her San Francisco de la Sierra ride next week.

It was fun to see and learn to play a new instrument and Amy enjoyed accompanying Nancy on her guitar after a lovely dinner at the Gallery. It has been a great pleasure to get to know them.

Thanks for sharing, Shari!

Shari,

the vaqueros at San Francisco would love to hear that.

It will get them off their normal topics, horses, cars and I believe there was something else....

Shari, Thanks. Musical people are/have a gift for all of us.

There is such deep community good in sharing music. I regret I have no skills, but have come to learn that I can share in the joy like those who do when I drum with others. From subtle to primal there is a connecting like with heartbeats.

What gifts you are getting. Color me green with envy.

Hey, I have one of Nancy's roosters like the one behind her! I bought it right off the headboard.

Yes Perry...this amazing couple from Mt.Vernon Washington were a true blessing...folks like them make the hospitality industry cerebrally (is that a word?) rewarding at times. I learned so much and was delighted with hours of stimulating conversation which seems to be a lost art sometimes....not your everyday guests by any means...and pretty cool that we met here on Nomads. I cant think of any other means that has brought us so many quality amigos!
