Satellite dish size

I will be taking my Dish Network box to Los Cabos with me. What size dish would work best in that location?

Welcome to Cabo

We use a 4 footer and still only get the 119 Sat.

Those with 6 footers say same thing.

Dish Network will require a 1.8 meter dish that far south.

We use one-piece steel 5' dishes with decent results. You can also pick up Dish Network's HD 129° satellite with a good 4' dish. You'll need two dishes to get both the SD and HD satellites. The local "Big Four" networks (from SF and NY) are only available in SD on the 119° satellite.

I have a 1.8 meter dish that I will let go cheap to a good home. You just have to come to BoLA and get it.

I'm just 60 miles north of Cabo and get all the Dish channels with my 40 inch dish and my California LNB -- no solar fade this spring so it must be working.

We've noticed Dish Network's 119° signals seem to be a bit stronger around La Paz. The distance is so small you wouldn't think there would be a noticeable difference but, quien sabe? Haven't tried to compare transponder readings to confirm this...
