The Mexican traditional party will be part of the County Fair

SAN DIEGO.- The Mexican traditional and cultural party, The Guelaguetza, (which means 'Mondays on the Hill'), will be part of the 2012 edition of the
San Diego County Fair this coming summer.
With a tradition of more than 100 years, this celebration takes place in Oaxaca, southeast of Mexico, and will be presented at the fairgrounds on June
10 at 11:30 a.m. and at 6:30 p.m.
Through a press release, the Fair mentioned that it is a very colorful event and has a meaning of 'offering' or 'gift' in the Zapotec language which
includes, dance, singing, and music from eight regions of the state, without ignoring the culinary greatness of Oaxaca.
Each Sunday, "La Feria de las Galaxias" (The Galaxy Fair) a theme/subject/topic/matter? that will be centering the celebration this year, search for
ways to offer the Hispanic community the traditions of diverse cultures, emphasizing this year the Mexican culture on the coming days of June 10, 17,
24 and July 1st.
Additionally on these days, the Mexicans attending this event will enjoy remembering their country with exhibitions and sale of traditional craftwork,
games, competitions, and other activities taking place in Plaza México.

During opening days, visitors will have a chance to explore the history of mankind and the fascination for outer space, as well as space trips from
ancient astronomers, the NASA program, and the future of space exploration.
With a duration of 24 days, the official event opening will be this coming Friday June 8 and will end on July 4th, closing doors on Mondays only; the
prices are $13 for adults and $7 for children from 6 to 12 years and older than 62, children under 5 years old get in free."
