Ok-I know I'm gonna get some flak here but....I'm starting fiddle lessons so I can play fiddle with the cowboys ie ranchero music. I play the guitar
but the fiddle is a whole 'nother animal. Anyone here play in Baja? I want to find some easy to learn Mexican tunes for around the fire.

I dabble on my violin and really like it...I actually prefer it to the guitar but you have to have a good ear porque es puro calculo...you will love
it and it's nice and compact....it's kinda hard to tune to other's guitars I find though.

I wondered abt tuning but my teacher says something abt music theory blah blah. 1st lesson hasn't happened yet but she says will take care of it.
