About 8 weeks, ago one of our own, BN Nomad Baja.BBQ was struck with a heart attack and a minor stroke. A hard working man from the area of
Bakersfield Ca, worked in the petroleum fields and then moved to San Felipe with his wife, Linda.
I went to visit them recently and had a few sodas and lots of laughs. Lee actually told me that he was very upset because he wasn't getting well fast
enough! I told him that he is lucky to alive.....to be b-tching about his condition! It was amazing to see this guy up and about....positive mindset
and......doing light duty at the restaurant only weeks after a life threatening ordeal.
They operate the Baja.BBQ which is about 7-8 miles north of town, right off the highway. Some of you know these folks as they have catered to certain
functions....... such as the BN hike a few months back, down south of San Felipe........he even donated his great Ribs at the 2011 McFeztival and
provide great conversations. Fact is....Lee is the sort of guy that is there to help.....anyone that asks for it. I seen this numerous times.
I am told that because of the health issues going on with Lee...and the economic conditions of San Felipe......times are hard for the Baja.BBQ.
I ask that anyone traveling through, or live in......San Felipe, to stop in at the restaurant and spend a twenty dollar bill, to help these great
folks out. There's a little bar in there too......not real fancy, but fully stocked to aid you in downing some of the best ribs around.
Please out them.

that's a good head's up for folks in the area ... maybe you could give some more history on the restaurant ? how long have they owned it ? are they
the first owners ?

These are good people. Lee has helped out many people in the San Felipe area. Great place, great food and very friendly. If you have not eaten
there you should try it out and for those of you who have eaten there eat there some more. Thanks Deno for the info. If you hear more I wish you
would let us know. We saw him in March and he looked pretty good although I knew he had had some serious health issues. Nancy
