Yes change Baja toons to Baja tunes, seeing how Baja toons hasn't been used since 2006:coolup:

CortezBlue - 4-25-2012 at 03:37 PM

I never even noticed the Baja Toons section.

Yes I think you are correct there are plenty of baja toons that are mixed in all sections

Ken Cooke - 4-25-2012 at 05:35 PM

I post music that I hear in Baja in the 'Spanish Language' section, since it is (mostly) performed in Spanish.

Since we are on a music theme, there is a group out of Tucson that has a mariachi feel with a mix of rock and soul. It has something like Tijuana, Mexicali in their name.

All of you Tucson folks, if you know, let me know

Oh yes, you're quite right.

My favorite line from Roger.

"Got a hooker but lost our erection!"

I am not sure how someone can collectively loose an erection, but there it is!

vgabndo - 4-30-2012 at 09:54 PM

I submit that the decision to "get a hooker" often involves the use of two heads, and thus perhaps "our" is appropriate.

I like it.
Thanks for the tip. My hope is that we can get folks adding their new finds in the area of music. And it does not have to be any particular type, as far as I am concerned.

Keep 'em coming

anyways, it took me back to a place that doesn't exist today:

There are lots of "good ole Texas boy" musicians. I spent a many of nights scootin' a boot around a dance floor. I was raised on Texas Country & Texas Tejano Country Music. Here is one of my favorite bands, they are out of Ft. Worth. The Tejas Brothers...

New Music Alert

New Joe Walsh Album, "Analog Man"

Several good tracks, "Spanish Dancer" sounds like an Eagles tune

Enjoy:cool:

CortezBlue - 6-13-2012 at 12:01 PM

Ok, today finds me enjoying the new Beach Boy album, "That's Why God Made the Radio"

Very great harmonies for a bunch of old guys. This is the album that was released for the 50th Anniversary tour and even Brian Wilson came out for this one.

The title track is very good and very much Beachboy's sound

I would give this a 8 out of 10, great production value and they continue to take me back to the 60's and summer time at the beach.

Here is the link to listen to a sample on Rhapsody:

Upon further research, Ken, I found out the album (Pa' Bailar El Son) is no longer available to purchase.
Would you have a copy I can borrow and add to my iTunes library?

Fishmagician - 6-13-2012 at 04:20 PM

New Zac Brown Band CD Uncaged

Great new release from Zac Brown. Defiantly a keeper. It has the same mix of County and Southern Rock, but this one also has some soul as well. A few love songs, a few beach/island songs. I think almost all of the tracks are good and if you like "Jimmy Buffett" style music or Govt Mule, you willl like this as well.

A 4 out of 5 stars, check it out

We need a Baja Music Section?? But 'til then.... NEW Santana CD Reviewed

Santana "Shape Shifter" Released May 2012

Well there is one thing you can say about Carlos, you never know what you are going to get.

This album has a very Native American feel with Native American musical instruments and ryththm's

However, not to be to far from his roots, Carlos's has some very distinctive tracks that you will be able to identify immediately.

One of the best tracks is a dedication to Gabor Szabo, called "Mr. Szabo" It is a pure Spanish accoustical number and will get you up out of your chair and onto the dance floor.

I would highly recommend this CD to any Santana fan and to the non Santana fans, take a listen to a few of the tracks that you may like for $.99 each off of iTunes or Rhapsody.

Enjoy
