let's all cross our fingers for an epic hurricane season! hopefully they will swing past cabo and head north, offshore, and pump swell up the coast.... it's been a few years since we had a good hurricane season for surf.

Ahhhhhhh yeah!! I'd love some me some hurricane surf. Looking forward to some warm water too.

As long as they don't come across our area!!!

One of those models shows it getting pretty close to where I'll be in a week from today -- Puerto Vallarta.

WTF....looks like Stormpulse is going commercial. Not cheap either.....349 bucks yearly for entry level.
Too bad.

NOAA's long range forecast gives a 50/50 chance of El Nino developing later this summer...at the least though, the La Nina pattern is saying goodbye so we should be back to normal summer water/air temps anyway.

Gawd, we could sure use the rain of a few storms this year.

DavidE - 5-13-2012 at 09:21 AM

This Is Only A Dream...

A tenth of an inch of rain, all over the peninsula, every night for a month.

That said, you don't even want to know what it's like inside a category 5 hurricane. A S/S 5 can bring a sea level rise of 15 feet (low barometric pressure causing a bulge) THEN ON TOP OF THAT, forty foot waves.

you are correct, i'd not enjoy that. what i do enjoy is being 600 miles DIRCTLY in front of it sitting on a point in baja. the stuff dreams are made of....
